There’s often complaints about women’s uniforms in the volleyball or gymnastics olympics being too revealing compared to men, but nobody acknowledges how skimpy men’s swimming uniforms are compared to women. Women wear a one-piece swimsuit that covers their entire torso, while men wear these tiny speedos that just barely covers their balls.Personally as a cishet male I am a fan of the male gaze and love seeing women wear skimpy outfits. At the same time I also champion gender equality so I think it’s equally fair to make men wear speedos to balance things out. Would’ve attracted the gay male and straight female audience more. But what are your thoughts?

Any athlete in top physical condition, male or female be it pro or amateur or recreational, will take any opportunity to bare as much as possible that won't generate a charge of public indecency. Why go through all that hard work to cover up?

>>18720222To be fair, male swimmers mostly wear swim trunks like in picrel, and tech suits which cover the body from the knees to shoulders. Speedos are less common in the sport outside of water polo (which is your picrel). The real conclusion we should be getting from this is that men in beach volleyball should also wear tiny speedos.
