Just dont overthink it. First and foremost you should be lean with enough muscle to look like you take care of yourself and can take care of yourself physically. Then wear staples.You dont have to wear suits, or fedoras, or designer, or avant garde stuff. you literally want to look like you know what youre doing which is muscles and lean first and foremost.

This board hates this advice because they all fancy themselves fashion insiders but what most people want is not to be fashionable but to look better and for that I say it depends highly on your occupation and your environment but it’s difficult for men to go wrong by going more trad as they age in most places. Like if you’re in decent shape, groomed, have adequate hygiene, it’s kind of impossible to look bad in an oxford shirt and classic higher rise jeans. It’s not fashionable per se but it’s probably a lot better than whatever hoodie and basketball shorts dress you’re used to.
