These were rock stars in the 2000s. Well emo rock stars.

zoomer here,

could these guys get laid? Were women attracted to them? They have no muscle mass and don't have chiesled faces.
>>
>>18722832
Late millenial here. I'm pretty sure they just molested children and didn't have any pull with actual adult women over 17. c.f. Ian Watkins, Dahvie Vanity, e.t. al.

define children
>>
>>18722869
Well in Dahvie's case I think the girl was 13 and Ian literally raped a baby. So basically I would define a child as anything Donald Trump would be sexually attracted to.
>>
>>18722832
Yes, but through manipulation. Without their status as a musician, they looked like dotcom geeks. Commercial emo like the shit from Hot Topic had a better chance at getting laid, though like the other posters said, usually underage girls. Either the musician was with a minor and bullshitted well enough with hairstyles and clothing, or the guy was also a teenager himself and just a kid following a trend.

Early emo like in these photos was basically music by losers and for losers, which overlapped with skramz and early shit. The music was about the nerds who got picked on and then either vented their frustration in a proto screamo band or whined with prehistoric emo music that sounds similar to post punk.

By the way, the kind of emo with folk and indie roots never sounded good. It was pretentious just like the fanbase.

and these are rock stars in the 2020s

The concept is still the same today. Instead of people playing emo music on an instrument, it’s scenecore and dressing like an eboy with lyrics about Xanax and mdma while coercing teenage girls on TikTok.

The 2000s was a weird time. It was cool to wear super baggie gangster clothes, pop punk was in, I look back at it fondly but probably its because when I was young.

Bands like blink 182 were so good. The ironic nature of it all is kind of cringe but at the time it felt so good. Even the 1990's/2000's romantic comedies were elite even if again, kind of cringe. That kind of culture is dead now because everything is filtered through the lens of 'I need to look as attractive as possible for social media'

Totally clueless zoomer archeologist threads are so funny. You have NO idea what you’re talking about and even less of an idea what it was actually like lmao.
Give up your inquiries which are completely useless, and consider these words a second warning.
We hope, for your own good, that this will be sufficient.

I'm so glad this era is over. They just look like the Beatles but even more gay.

2000s "rockstars" were pushed as relatable normies by record labels. That was when the pussification of rock started, because corporations realized that it was too dangerous for the elites to let rock be masculine and "fuck the machine" kind of a genre. So they began pushing these soi and emo faggots and literal girl jeans on men. It all started in response to Woodstock 1999.

They saw how united men AND women from all classes were against corporate greed and corruption, and were using the ideas they learned from rock and metal music to fight back against the system. That's when they systematically started dismantling masculinity and any rebellious themes from music, and pussifying all culture in the 2000s. Which led to the normalization of faggots and trannies in the mainstream during the 2010s.

And now, rock music is completely dead not just in the mainstream but even in the underground, because there is no underground, since all the kids are busy on their phones doomscrolling through social media or gooing to endless 4k porn and softcore camwhores on Twitch, OF and YouTube.

They got laid, or tried to get laid, by acting like feminist allies. They were the original performative males. These were the kind of guys who became male feminists and used their "nice guy" act to get into women's pants, often by any means necessary. Which is why over time women learned to be wary of male feminists and got the ick every time they saw this genre of men.

They fucked so many underaged groupies it was crazy
Now they're all getting "me too'd" for shit that happened 20+ years ago
>>
>>18723210
Why’d you turn them into Turks?
>>
>>18723271
That’s also the only reason people even dressed emo or scene. It was to get teenage girls to like them. Ironically, as gay as it looked, it worked for many.

If you saw an adult emo, even if he pulled off the look, you know he did it for the younger girls.

>could these guys get laid? Were women attracted to them? They have no muscle mass and don't have chiesled faces.
I was a roadie for a bunch of these bands during the 2000s and early 2010s, and let me tell you: these guys got so much trim your head would spin.
>>18723271
many of these bands were small and most of the guys faded into obscurity before #metoo. the only guys getting pinched are those who made it big after 2016.
>>18722869
in the united states, anyone under the age of 18.

There haven't been any new rock "stars" since Napster killed the music industry. They're just riding out the existing "stars" and pimping their catalogs for monthly subscriptions and throwing tiny bits of money at half-witted negros barely capable of mumbling into a microphone.
>>
people didn't give a fuck about the band's image and actually cared about the music, going to shows, and being part of a social scene
>>
>>18723551
Pop stars like like Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande etc still exist and sell out entire stadiums during each concert. So do stars of other genres. Only rock stars and rock music died because it was killed off by the music industry, because it was too rebellious and uncontrollable. It had nothing to do with Napster. The only rock band that's still big today is Coldplay, and it's because they turned into complete pop slop in the 2010s. Their 2008 album Viva la Vida was their last rock album.

>People only cared about the music
Everyone thought this music was garbage and only pretended to like it to fuck girls.
