We would be foolish to assume it's a standard 45lb plate when using fake plates or lighter plates is so common on social media, especially given the above mentioned inability to complete the lift and obvious insecure attitude in even filming and uploading the attempt. There's a decent possibility that they were 35lb plates. I won't be watching the rest of the video so if they appear and can be confirmed to be 45lbs you can freely discard this point, it doesn't change the conclusion.Overall, I find it disappointing that a supposed role-model to young men like sam would engage in relatively juvenile behaviour when again, it's totally unnecessary for the message he tries to project.
