What is the state of menswear in 2026? What new trends can we expect?
>>
>>18730361
Wow a backwards looking jeans??? Such subvert my expectations! So stunning and brave and bold!!!
>>
>>18730361
The top is almost interesting if you really squint- like as a large textured knit sweater
>>
>>18730361
Prada, Balenciaga, and Dior have all moved back towards slimmer, tapered fits; however, the materials being used are less rigid. Higher waists and cropped tops are also showing up more.

I don’t know how that will translate into the real world outside of major cities.
>>
>>18730361
fashion feels like it's dying bc of how quickly trends are moving and people buying fast fashion slop. being slim is the only thing that matters now.
>>
>>18730930
it feels similar to how music is rn. soundcloud has really helped decentralize the music industry to the point where there are very few new global music idols, just clusters of semi-famous artists from their respective genres.

the problem with this happening to fashion is that it leads to cheap slop on etsy
>>
>>18730934
yeah, i was super pissed when i bought jewelry that was actually just dropshipped garbage. it feels like literally everything is trash at this point and doesn't matter now.
for fashion, I mostly just try to cop things from ebay i find interesting. been enjoying cabana and aloha shirts, specifically black with prints
>>
Less “sprezzatura” memimg. Less “dad” if you will.
>>

skinny is back in fashion. if youre not fit you're not /fa/

it's the heroin chic of the 90's all over again but instead of fashion it's economic woes. you can wear a white hanes t-shirt & jeans if you're fat, but you'll be fashionable if you're skinny because you look hungry and desprate.
>>
>>18731918
Proof?
>>
>>18731918
Skinny will not be in fashion again as long as millennials are alive. Screenshot this. Aging fat millennial men are the only ones who still wear skinny jeans, and nobody wants to look like a cringe millennial.
>>
>>18732044
This. Same with the whole indie rocker leather jacket and Chelsea boots look. At most, Wayfarer glasses may make a return, but not for a while. So, if you’re hoping people start looking like a member of “The Strokes” will come back, it won’t for a long time.
>>
>>18732056
the whole Hedi Boy thing is already back though, zoomoids are doing it on the tok and gram
>>
>>18732061
You mean a social media narrative? Influencers paid by marketing agencies hired by clothing brands? I don’t see any of this in real life and I live in the west coast of the US.
>>
>>18730372
Hmm hello???
It's a KRISS KROSS reference
>>
>>18731927
Looks at the collections that have been coming out. Anon even mentioned specific designers.
>>
>>18730936
K-shaped economy.

The stuff that the 1% gets is nice and always will be.
The difference now is that the companies have realized that there’s no need to make a mid-tier offering for those buyers who have some money but aren’t megarich. They can save money by selling bottom-scraping slop to the middle classes as well. It’s not like the wealthy will stop and help the middle classes out and tell the companies to improve the quality of their poor-people products.

everything skinny again, blame prada
>>
Im not sure if heroin chic will come back, but being skinny will come back, all that woke fat pride shit died the second they invented ozempic, there is a literal drug that makes you skinny now, the only barrier is money.

also if we are working off the 20 year rule then whatever was popular in the late 2000s and early 2010s is about to come back in fashion
>>
>>18732044
I doubt it. Excessively baggy jeans are everywhere now and it’s only a matter of time before people get tired of them. As Gen Z ages into their 30s and takes baggy jeans with them, I wouldn’t surprised if Gen Alpha starts wearing skinny jeans as a reaction to that. Plus pop culture is permanently stuck in a cycle of making pastiches to whatever was cool exactly 20 years ago (which will soon be the early 2010s - peak skinny jean).
>>
>>18732066
>and I live in the west coast of the US.

why cant you just say where you live?
>>
>>18732190
You want his home address or something?
>>
>>18732191
i just dont know why everyone on this site has to act like they will be doxxed if they say what state theyre from. I see it all the time now which is why im making a thing of it, people vagueposting like
>i live in a populated state in the midwest
like ok man just say indiana

anon saying he lives on the west coast is meaningless, is he outside sacramento or in portland?

Some people in this thread have seemingly been living under a rock for a while now. Fashion is very much linear, we've been through Y2K revival and are now moving into late 2000s/early 2010s. The mentioned Hedi boy look is making a massive comeback now, but not (yet) SLP era Hedi but moreso Dior era Hedi. Fashion has long been a reflection of youth culture, that's also why hip-hop has been so influential in mainstream stuff for years now. The current dominant trend in hip-hop is Carti and all his clones, the whole Chrome Hearts gothboi aesthetic is what's hot right now so it's very obvious the heroin chic revival of the early 2010s is what's current. Moving away from ultra baggy JINCO tier jeans to more tapered (not necessarily supper skinny) is just following an expected pattern. Look at pic related for example. The jacket might give it away a little bit but apart from that this looks like Nettspend. And yes, I realise fashion goes beyond everything I just mentioned, but I am convinced this is pretty much the current trajectory for popular fashion. It's not entirely interesting from a design POV but it's what Zara will/are copying because it's marketable.

This post sums it up quite well really >>18732162
>>
>>18732193
>just say Indiana
So saying "the West Coast" is too vague" but California is OK for you?

>California?
>What, are you Mexican or Asian? hurr hurr hurr
>>
>>18732107
There is still a premium market for 5-10% , not just 1%, but the actual mid tier stuff is or will be gone, true.

>>18732152
> the only barrier is money
Which is exactly why nobody will want to be fat anymore, because fat = poor.
I also suspect the gymbro roidshit to end rather soon. We will be back to proper Hedi size zero by the end of the decade.
>>
>>18732213
>I also suspect the gymbro roidshit to end rather soon.
The roided out gym bro has never been mainstream. It's not going anywhere but it's never been anywhere either. Guys like that have a hard time being fashionable because they can't stay out late
>(gotta get up early to lift weights)
they're on a restricted diet
>(that restaurant sounds good...do you think they have grilled chicken breast and steamed broccoli?)
they've got nothing interesting to talk about
>(if you twist inboard on your hammer curl at the top of the motion, you get a nice extra pump)
and fashionable clothes never fit them anyway.

The fashionable physique for men doesn't actually change all that much. Just be around 6'1"-6'3" tall and have a physique like a triathlete. Lean, but not bulky.

>What is the state of menswear in 2026?
-Gorillamaxxing
-lots bodyhair
-full beard
-full hair
-Testmaxxing
-looksmaxx-mogging
-Contrast stitching, embelleshed denim maxxing
-procreation maxxing

All you need for menswear for 2026 and beyond.

>>18732044
As an aging fat millennial myself I hope that shit never comes back, I always thought skinny jeans looked gay and retarded and were a pain in the ass to wear and it's been great actually being able to wear looser fits without getting shit for it. I guess if they do come back around I'll be way too old for anybody to give a fuck about whether I'm fashionable though.
>>
>>18732107
>>18732213
The 1%-10% should buy more clothes and demand quality, then donate it when they get bored of it to charities so that the middle can get quality clothes at a decent price.
