I went to anime cons from the time I was about 15 and then ended up working in the industry and running booths at cons, and most of the women I've dated in my life were cosplayers. I'm out of it all now, haven't really been to a con since before covid but I swing by for the afterparties when they're local since I have a lot of friends that still go.
