That’s about when I stopped watching, too. I don’t think I stopped because it was “depressing.” The writing just wasn’t tight anymore and everything was so episodic and desultory. Characters that made the show fun like Jake and Lumpy Space Princess just fell to the side and it became a chore to watch.

The creativity was gone and it was like watching the shittiest episodes on a loop, like Chips and Ice Cream.
