Why do my 100% cotton t-shirts shrink despite washing them at eco (40 to 60 Celsius)? I bought 4 shirts and they all fucking shrunk. Wtf.
>>18734314Wash and dry them cold retard. Stop using heat to dry your clothes. Just dry them cold in the dryer and then hang dry them.
agitation from the machines spinning will also shrink fabric appatently, even if you wash cold/dry with no heat
>>18734317Which is why tumble dryers are shit. Always get a top loader washer/dryer.
>>18734316I don't have a dryer. They're hanged outside to dry and it's never hot where I live.
>>18734314Shorter fibers and no pre-shrinking so basically cutting corners, making bucks.
>>18734314youre supposed to hang dry them, or dry for like 15 mins then hang dry them the rest of the time also buy proper pre-shrunk t-shirts ask chatgpt and they'll tell you which brand/company shirts to shop for
40 celsius is maximum for cotton
>>18734314No logo
>>18734314Still too hot. The only time you should ever wash hotter than 30°C is when you have terrible stains. grass, wine, mustard, blood etc. If you're washing shirts just to make them smell fresh again, which will probably be at least 9 times out of 10 you can do that cold or at 30°C max.
