Can't go wrong with this baby for $80-$90. It's really quite astounding the quality you get. Look up the reviews. It really has everything you need and better specs than brand watches even approaching $1,000.

And therefore the snobs will dismiss it. But they don't know anything.

I have a few overpriced Seikos and they aren't "nice". Why don't you pull your head out of your ass and look again at what you're promoting here.

The Alpinist collection is fucking retarded. They should offer those specs on their $200-$300 watches like everyone else. Their designs are in no way so amazing that they can carry the cost.
Seiko fell off hard and you're too dumb to realize it.

Redpill me on Pagani Design. Are they just Chinese bootlegs of well-known big dick brand watches or are they actually decent watches?
>>
>>18734672
DO NOT BUY PAGANI
>>
>>18734714
They're horrific. If there's a problem you could have with a watch you can find it with pagani. Sometimes components aren't even steel. Lubricants dry up in the movement and they shit the bed. Fucked up threading that strips out, spins infinitely or fuses bracelet links permanently together. Horrifically bad, stiff, gritty crown action. Customer service won't even answer your emails. And they never look right in person especially any watch with a sunburst dial looks streaky and saturated. They are the pinnacle of mount shitter.
>>
>>18734719
Good to know. I've been curious cause they're so cheap. The dread of being in a situation where someone thinks you're wearing an AP or Rolex and when they get closer they realize it's a ching chong shitter has kept me away.
>oh, i thought that was... oh... n-nice watch anon
>>
>>18734714
Why don't you watch reviews and not pay attention to biased know-nothings like >>18734719 or >>18734718
who haven't bought any PD watches. They're totally decent watches.

>>18734721
Don't post "good to know" as if you just take some troll's word for it immediately. Do your research.
They're objectively well-made watches for any price. The only "downside" is that they aren't all original designs. Some people actually think there are designs you just shouldn't be able to wear if you don't have $100,000.

There are lots of favorable reviews of Pagani Design. Urban Gentry approves of them, Top Tier Ticker, everyone who reviews watches concedes that they're good.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5LkuQAgFjM

I have an auto and a quartz one and honestly I don't wear them much, but they're really good watches. Nothing wrong with them, nothing "horrifically bad". Anyone who's actually owned one can tell you that.

Of course people buy them, because they're dirt cheap. But then Mr. Pagani teaches them a valuable lesson, that you get what you pay for, and when they get nicer watches they can appreciate actual quality that much more.

I'm not even against cheap watches, you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a watch necessarily. But Pagani is definitely not setting the floor very high. Maybe you need to get a few unlubed seagol movements with helicopter rotor and stripped bracelet pins before you learn.

If I were homeless I would still stay clean and presentable somehow. I'd bathe daily and go to churches and get fresh socks. There are services wherever you live that you are not taking advantage of. Shelters, halfway houses, surely you're eating at soup kitchens.

You don't need to look like a bum just because you're homeless.
I hitchhiked out of town once to do drugs and get into trouble, and after 3 days I couldn't stand it and went to a dollar store and got some socks and a big jug of water and some deodorant and found a secluded area to clean up.
Then I snapped out of my delusion and caught a bus back home and realized I never wanted to live like an animal ever again.

I hope you get your shit together. You look like those dinged up beaters you keep posting.

Some people want to live like animals. I remember I worked on a project in high school where I had to feed the homeless like half a dozen times. After talking to them, almost all of them admitted they chose the life intentionally. Obviously there's a bunch that fell into it because of hard drugs. But most the ones I talked to were successful lawyers, doctors etc with families and houses at one point.

Doesn't sound typical. How long ago were you in high school? Many homeless until pretty recently were mentally ill if they weren't winos or junkies. A lot of regular people have been displaced and are living in tents now.
You must have gone to a certain place where educated, once classy and successful bums gathered.
>>
>>18735156
>Doesn't sound typical.
I make no claim as to the percentage of the people that chose to be this way, but most the ones I talked to were. Granted it's a tiny sample because a lot of homeless don't even go to soup kitchens (where I was volunteering).
>How long ago were you in high school?
99-03
>You must have gone to a certain place where educated, once classy and successful bums gathered.
It was in San Diego. I live in LA now. Most of the homeless are obviously drug addicts that have officially lost their mind. My main point was simply that a lot of people choose the hobo life, more than we think. There's some regulars in my neighborhood that seem sober and just choose to live in a tent under a bridge.

Who’s behind both of these threads?

The Firms:
>Networks like Collaborator.pro (a massive European blog and forum network hub) or ICODA Digital Agency excel at building native infrastructure.

The Jobs:
>They hire educated freelancers in Bucharest, Warsaw, or Kyiv who speak fluent English. These workers are given a "Narrative Anchor Matrix"—a spreadsheet of talking points. Their job is to write the philosophical arguments about “the timelessness of quartz utility vs. mechanical heritage” to make the threads look like authentic intellectual debates.

Once the Eastern European workers set the conversational tone, maintaining the threads 24/7 requires low-cost volume. This work is handled by digital infrastructure farms in the Philippines (Manila) and India (Mumbai/Bangalore).

The Firms:
>Large business process outsourcing (BPO) and click-farm brokers, alongside specialized "Reputation Defense" firms like Netino.

The Job:
>This is the entry-level gig work. Workers are paid per hundred posts or bumps. They are given a ZIP folder of pre-approved images of Citizen Eco-Drives or steel Rolex sports watches. Their interface runs custom automation scripts; when a watch thread drops below a certain position on the /fa/ catalog, the worker clicks a button to push a pre-loaded image and a generic line of text ("Clean daily wear, thoughts?"), instantly bumping it back to the top.

Slavs are subhuman like jeets.

Watchfags (shills) preach about "timeless heritage" and the "immortal soul" of mechanical watches. But in the real world, the crash is so bad that dealers are literally melting vintage luxury watches for scrap gold.

Because gold prices reached historic highs in 2026, mid-tier vintage watches from brands like Omega or TAG Heuer are actually worth more dead than alive. Dealers are scrapping intact, beautiful vintage watches because the melted gold value pays out immediately, while waiting for a retail buyer on the secondary market takes months.

I got a seiko with hardlex recently and I understand most people want sapphire and the prices they're charging now should be enough to cover sapphire, but I think this issue is really overblown. The glass they use is more shatter resistant than sapphire so it's a little safer if you're doing actual work with your beater watch, which is what most of the watches with hardlex would be, and the warmth and distortion you get on the domed hardlex doesn't really exist on sapphire. It's not all downside, it's a choice and there are pros and cons there.

Just bought one of these, it took off a rusted bezel with no damage. Should've bought one years ago, only thing to bear in mind is that in every demo you'll ever see, they put the watch inside the fucking thing when you're supposed to use it from the top so the flat side is against the watch case and the bevel lifts the bezel off. Needed to crank on the handle with some vice grips though.

>They were absolute maniacs about social pressure and keeping up appearances and devoting yourself to a craft last time I checked
A lot of it is surface level. Once you look under it, the decline in that culture is noticeable.

The social fabric in Japan has degraded severely. There is a ton of unreported theft, forgery, corruption going on in Japan over the last 15 years at least.

In the watch space specifically, be careful with Japanese sellers. Many Japanese scammers have realized they can take advantage of those perceptions from days of old and there are tons of stories about Japanese sellers just disappearing without shipping a product. Also don't trust the quality.

Manufacturing itself is also suspect and Japanese people these days will literally just buy stuff from China, it's the same quality.

This is a really difficult request that I've personally been looking around for. Every candidate is missing at least one thing - it's not a dive watch, it's not very thin, it's not titanium, it's not under 40mm, or in my case it doesn't have the complications I want.

The best overall fit, I think, is the titanium fifty fathoms, but it's not quite as small and thin as you'd like and comes with some other nitpicky garbage about it, not to mention the retail price is ridiculous.
>>
>>18735817
A much more attainable option is certina, but they upgraded the cases on these new ones to make them more shock resistant and some other bullshit but it's made them over 13mm thick.
>>
>>18735817
Bathyscaph is under 11mm thick but it's not titanium and the tiny markers make it look like the Woll Smoth meme
>>
>>18735817
I don't really know why people like titanium. It looks like shit when it gets scratched, and if you want a light watch there are plenty of sensible SS options.

What would be really cool, but I've never really seen outside of my own simplistic mods, is steel jacketed titanium. All the benefits of steel, most of the weight savings of titanium. My quartz 37mm shitter diver right now is 81g, and that's with a solid link steel bracelet.
>>
>>18735822
Oh shit, they made one with normal looking numerals
>not titanium
>no date
>limited edition
Fuck off. It really is like they make something fucked up about every watch on purpose.
>>
>>18735823
The titanium alloy matters a lot. Almost all affordable options are going to be grade 2 titanium which is the scratch magnet one. Luxury brands USUALLY use grade 5 titanium which is actually harder than stainless steel.

Citizen and some others use proprietary technologies with gay names like "super titanium" to make the surface layer of the titanium more scratch resistant. But in the case of Citizen they actually use different "grades" of "super titanium" on watches at different price points, so the $3000 "super titanium" watch is actually a different metal and alloy and level of treatment than the $500 "super titanium" watch and they don't really specify in marketing and manuals and stuff which version you're getting and it gets really nebulous and confusing.
>>
>>18735823
>I don't really know why people like titanium
i forget i'm even wearing it, it's so light. i've been dailying a titanium at work and it's such a luxxxury. i also don't like the shine of polished SS at work when i'm in the field with my BB54 or 58. i know brushed is an option but everything is so fucking thick and then we're back to the weight annoyance.

>>
>>18735827
>which is actually harder than stainless steel.
At the kind of hardness range we're talking about, it's completely meaningless. The problem is that titanium looks like shit when it gets scratched, and steel doesn't. All the coating shit is a scam, the second it does get scratched (because while harder, it's still not that hard), you're boned.
>>
>>18735828
>too "nice"
Maybe that's true for the fifty fathoms, but every external metal surface on the bathyscaph including the markings on the bezel insert are brushed so it's actually pretty utilitarian.
>>
>>18735832
Actually the higher grade titaniums have a limited "self healing" capacity though oxidation over light scratches.

The coffee guy is from Poland if I recall.

This is weirdly underwhelming in person. The red dial is great though.
>>

Theres other Chinese brands that make the exact same watch, I'm looking now and they say 13.5mm thick. The one I wear was made by Red Star. Sea-Gull didn't invent the design and doesn't hold any rights to it, and other brands (that operate in the same Tianjin watch factoy) make the same watch, often using the exact same parts as Seagull. Think of it like the dirty dozen watch, where multiple manufacturers were making it to the same specs. Look at the pictures in reviews, and if it looks like quality it probably is pretty close to what you'd get from the Seagull website. I think the main difference is that Seagull doesn't put a display case-back on theirs. They all use seagull movements. And ignore the 30 dollar ones that have quartz movements and really cheap flat looking dials.

also the watches i post definitely go with my fits
>>
>>18736004
It's 13.6mm and at least 2mm of that is the boxed and domed crystal. (The version with the rotating bezel is much thicker.) If it had a flat crystal, it would be under 12mm, which is Datejust territory.

Zenith is pretty faithful about the dimensions of their revival models, so this is likely what the old one had as well.

Why is some wannabe hobo spamming the thread?
>>
>>18736016
For some reason I feel it’s the same mental case who makes the AI pics. He has the same vibe
>>
>>18736015
But it doesn't have a flat crystal. So it's a time and date watch over 13mm which automatically makes it a shitter.
>>
>>18736016
bc he was saying /fa/ is some flyover never left the midwest digging in the thrift store

Okay. This pic >>18736007 btw is pretty cool. The glasses and the fuck Nazis vibe. Reminds me of crossed out swastika photos I saw after Mariupol was liberated.

Also here >>18735997 your watch is cool. I really like it. Is it the Hermes swatch from the other thread?

That is all I had to say.

36mm is the play. They have big lugs so they wear bigger, and the 40mm and 41mm oyster cases are too bloated and ostentatious. They're meant to be 36mm.

This is the laziest type of post and always the wrong word. Things you think suck are not fucking "grim". Stop using that word.

Hey, it's the bigot nutcase hobo before the gangstalking jews got to him.

Good fucking riddance.

Anyone I ever met complaining of 'gang stalking' or other such bullshit was under the influence of meth.
Quit the meth and 'they' will stop following/harassing you.

I don't see how you're that in love with the dial to do all that. In the end how much did it cost?
>>
>>18736184
What's not to like about it? I did some similar work on a custom watch, sapphire is like 10 bucks, movement is like 30 bucks. Plus tools because you need a crystal remover and some shit to take the hands off, maybe 60-70 bucks?
