pleated pants have been so shit for so long that its just part of the training data now

I guess the default patterns for pleated pants were designed for chicken legs. Tailored some myself, and the instructions usually go with a 0.5 inch deep pleat. For me this pulls open immediately and looks more like a flat front. In order to get something that resembles an actual pleat I need to make it at least 1 inch deep,
