The poors have cluttered up the /wt/ general with chinesium shitters.

This is a thread for those of us who enjoy the finer things.

I just posted that to find out who liked it and is POOR. I'm rich like you and laugh at dingy cheap shit like sub-$10K Rolexes. Fucking poor idiots with no riches. LOL
>>
>>18737530
Okay. Let’s do a roll call on all watches which aren’t shitters.

Cartier tank? Check.
Rolex perpetual oyster? Check.

Yup. That’s all of them.
>>
>>18737579
I have the exact same myopically snobby tastes as you. Can we be brothers? Wanna go yachting?
>>
Another totally affordable watch that is better than your shitter. This was pocket change to me.

>Howard the Duck, now available in silver

LOL, you're one of those retards who converted cash to coins because you think the economy is going to tank and those will be worth more than currency. You have a bunker too? Visible swastika. So you're kind of a piece of shit.

Also, this is a joke thread. I'm the poorest motherfucker here and I mainly post "shitters" and made this thread to contain the snobs.

Check out this $25 quartz wonder.
>>
>>18737772
The problem with the watch threads on here is it's usually the poorfags that are the snobs ironically enough. They will shit on you for spending more than 300 dollars on a watch, and it's damn near impossible to discuss anything in the 2-8k range because of that. The truth is all watches are a want and not a need, yes even your 25 dollar Chinese quartz watch. It's 2026. We are all practically mandated to carry smartphones that constantly synchronize with satellites to give us a more accurate time than any watch, quartz or mechanical, ever could. Some of us have the money to spend on 5000 dollar watches. Is it a waste of money? Probably, but so is the "shitter" watch you posted.
>>
>>18737800
You're not wrong. If /wt/ were /jewelry general/ it would probably be more self-aware. At least the /frag/ posters are aware that enjoyment of a cologne can be subjective.
Because watches have a mechanical function, they attract a particular brand of autist who think they can quantify what constitutes the perfect watch. Because they're autistic, they don't deal particularly well with frustration or disagreement.

Watches especially nowadays are just high end jewelry. You are right. I have been posting there for a while and I don't even know what a watch movement is or how they differentiate them from one another- what makes a good or bad one.

>>18737816
You shouldn't be okay with or proud of being ignorant. You shouldn't even disclose that you're so dumb.

But we knew that already because you have one broken watch and you don't ever stop posting it.
WTF
>>
>>18737817
I don’t even know how movements work but I post there every day. That’s who you’re posting with btw ;)
>>
>>18737826
Why are you proud of being stupid? Why are you winking?
I really don't understand why you'd be proud of your ignorance, but there's a lot about incels and just most 4chan users that I will never understand. ";)"
>>
>>18737817
>> you have one broken watch and you don't ever stop posting it.

That’s actually not true btw. I have Kenneth Cole shitters secondhand hand me downs and also a 500 dollar or something Waltham pocket watch my grandfather was gifted by the railroad company he worked for.

>>18737830
Why do you reply to me constantly, pretend to be a homeless man and spam AI pics to “troll” me if you aren’t obsessed?
>>
>>18737831
Was *given*. No one said "gifted" as a verb until the 1990s. And it's wrong.

Also, I don't think I've ever replied to you before and I don't pretend to be homeless. What's with you people thinking everyone who annoys you is just ONE person?

You and your broken watch and anyone engaging with you are pure cancer and until just now I've had nothing to do with it but wincing when I see your watch or the picture of the fedora virgin doofus wearing it and smiling.

Now that I've seen you post your cutesy emojis about how hilarious it is that you can't even understand how watches work I hate you even more.

Fuck off, schizo. You aren't keeping up very well.
>>
>>18737833
I don't believe you at all. Only one guy gets this worked up enough to spaz like you are doing now. Had you just left me alone instead of spamming every watch thread I'd have gotten bored and left but I came back just to annoy you.
>>
>>18737833
You ruined the general by spamming (I don't care if you want to troll the general just don't use me to troll).

I would have absolutely gone away by now but I came back just because of how ticked off you make me. Other posters there clearly don't like you either.
>>
>>18737834
>>18737838
Dude, I've never engaged you before. And you're clearly describing three different anons who are also not me.
You're clearly just as paranoid and fucked up as the homeless guy, the A.I. guy who hates tanks enough to bug you, and whoever is "replying to you constantly".

I'm one person that most people hate for a very specific reason. I'm my own separate character. I ruined the general? I made this thread and I make all the shitter threads and over half of the generals. I have until today ignored you and your dead Cartier. And I will continue to ignore you after this post. And now you can think there are four people after you the next time some random anon addresses you once.

Fucking schizo hipster faggot.

This is my grail that I really want to buy and wear.

Why would you buy a $500 steak when a $3.00 McDouble is all you need? Its literally the same quality and ingredients.

>In 2026, the secondary luxury watch market is experiencing a massive value collapse. High-end dealers who hoarded inventory during the 2021–2022 hype cycle are now sitting on millions of dollars in rapidly depreciating assets. They desperately need to dump inventory.

>Gray-market entities do not run ads; they construct demand. They hire specialized, low-cost digital marketing agencies in Eastern Europe or Southeast Asia to run relentless forum-seeding campaigns.

>The mission is to convince young, easily impressionable men that a Rolex is an "appreciating asset" or the ultimate indicator of high-class masculinity. By keeping these "Generals" pinned to the top of the /fa/ catalog, they attempt to artificially hold up the floor price of their inventory by turning internet subcultures into desperate buyers.

Shitter / cheap watch threads:

>It creates a psychological trap. A user who realizes they cannot afford a Rolex is subtly guided by alternative accounts toward a $200 Citizen or a $70 Casio, feeling like they made an "anti-consumerist, classic" choice, unaware they were guided down a pre-built corporate funnel.
>>
>During the pandemic (2020–2022), the secondary market for luxury watches went completely insane due to zero-interest rates, crypto wealth, and massive social media hype. Ordinary stainless steel watches were suddenly being treated like stocks, trading at 3 to 4 times their actual retail value. By 2026, that bubble completely burst, leaving grey-market dealers in a state of absolute panic.

The 33% Secondary Market Drop: According to data from the WatchCharts Overall Market Index, secondary market prices for luxury watches crashed by roughly 33% from their pandemic peak

The market suffered 11 consecutive quarters of falling prices. Hyped pieces like the steel Rolex Daytona plumetted from highs of $45,000–$50,000 down to around $32,000.

For years, you couldn't buy a popular Rolex or Omega at a store; you had to pay a massive premium on the street. In 2026, the market corrected so hard that common steel sports models (like the Rolex Explorer II or the "Root Beer" GMT) are now regularly trading below their official retail MSRP.

Compounding the issue, brands like Rolex, Seiko, and Patek Philippe increased their authorized retail store prices by 5% to 15% in late 2025 and 2026 to make up for declining global sales volume. This means buying a brand-new watch from a dealer makes zero financial sense because it immediately devalues the second you walk out the door.
>>
Who’s behind both of these threads?

The Firms:
>Networks like Collaborator.pro (a massive European blog and forum network hub) or ICODA Digital Agency excel at building native infrastructure.

The Jobs:
>They hire educated freelancers in Bucharest, Warsaw, or Kyiv who speak fluent English. These workers are given a "Narrative Anchor Matrix"—a spreadsheet of talking points. Their job is to write the philosophical arguments about “the timelessness of quartz utility vs. mechanical heritage” to make the threads look like authentic intellectual debates.

Once the Eastern European workers set the conversational tone, maintaining the threads 24/7 requires low-cost volume. This work is handled by digital infrastructure farms in the Philippines (Manila) and India (Mumbai/Bangalore).

The Firms:
>Large business process outsourcing (BPO) and click-farm brokers, alongside specialized "Reputation Defense" firms like Netino.

The Job:
>This is the entry-level gig work. Workers are paid per hundred posts or bumps. They are given a ZIP folder of pre-approved images of Citizen Eco-Drives or steel Rolex sports watches. Their interface runs custom automation scripts; when a watch thread drops below a certain position on the /fa/ catalog, the worker clicks a button to push a pre-loaded image and a generic line of text ("Clean daily wear, thoughts?"), instantly bumping it back to the top.

>>
>>18738735
Six thousand dollars, pal.
I don't need a watch with such "build quality and finishing".
The smooth sweep spring drive (assuming it's that kind) and the dial is what attracts me at all.
Ever since seeing the video of the dude who went to Japan to buy his GS and the second hand was misaligned and they wouldn't refund him, I knew I'd never want one.

But that's just me. I would maybe spend that kind of money on a car but not a watch. I'd sooner spend $6K on a painting really.
