i only started actively lurking on this board about a year ago and im surprised at how rarely weird/alternative styles make an appearance here. you'd think that on an image board where fashion is the main thing thats discussed there would be people who are interested in less surface level stuff as well.im not complaining, i dont spend enough time here for that, this is just an observation

>>18739954I wouldn't consider alternative fashion "less surface level". It's usually just decade+ stuff regurgitated without the subcultural context. A lot of the "weird" fashion too is just people dressing androgynous or otherwise unconventionally for their gender.I think the real weird/alternative style is the way mentally handicapped people dress. You can find those looks on this board.
