I've been through maybe 3 pairs of these glasses from the cheap chinese suppliers and after trying to make the small ass frames that they supply work with my face (they didn't and hurt after a while), I decided to just splurge on the Sirmonts by American Optics because they make a frame big enough for my face
I was hoping to avoid getting the same exact style and wanted to avoid anything too recognizable (which is why I wanted to go for the cheap chinese frames) but it was inevitable
I won't be too much of a poser will I?
unfortunately I didn't have any other choice since the chinese suppliers don't make anything larger than the average Asian male/American female head

naw it’s not cringe, glasses unlike other period stuff can totally be worn in modern times with modern clothes without it being LARPy

considering browline glasses are still "in style" since they timeless classics at this point, I wasn't really worried about it being too "LARPy" moreso I was hoping I wouldn't get recognized as wanting similar style frames or being inspired by Malcolm X considering I agree with a lot of his ideas so people can more easily connect the dots that I was inspired by X if they look into it
I also have rectangle frames with free floating lower rim I use as daily drivers and then some completely circle frames I throw on every now and then like Lennon; although I hate Lennon and think he's a fag: I just like the circular frames stylistically

I really don't think the average person would even noticed. And if they do, it'd probably only be for a fleeting moment before going on with their day

naw most people are too stupid to even know who he is

well anons
I appreciate (You)s
gave me the affirmation I needed to just not give a fuck and stop thinking about it, thank you

just get the shuron zyl, they are totally unchanged from their 1940s-50s design.

I might consider them if for some reason I'm not a fan of the Sirmonts. The Sirmonts themselves are also virtually unchanged minus the sizes: the Zyls come in almost every size under the sun
I may buy a set as a back-up pair or beater regardless, just like Malcolm X was known for
