Im a white guy with curly hair sadly and I genuinely dont know what to do with my hair anymore
What products should i use to make my hair more malleable or what can i do to make it softer or how to make my sides stick out less, I tried using conditioner every day but i feel like it didnt help much
Also looking for a certain hairstyle to have since i usually just slick it back and leave a couple strands hanging out but i want to change it up a bit
Thank you in advance.

If I see a single gorillamaxxing post in this thread I will rip off your ears and shove it up your ass

I have curly hair and I wash it foaming facial cleanser and put in some moisturizer on it afterwards. 1-2 times a week. Nice and soft and saves money

You wash it with facial cleaner? What, why'd you even do that, I feel like that'd make your hair dry and probably make it fall
>Moisturizer
Do you use like face moisturizer or something or hair moisturizer
Is this even real or are you trolling me

did. Unfortunately, there is no simple, one-size-fits all answer for your question. With curly hair, first place to start is figuring out your curl pattern/type, hair porosity, and hair density. These three things will go a long way to telling you what kind of product your hair does best with. Not all curly hair is the same. Thick, course, kinky hair will use vastly different products then fine, delicate cherub curls. There tons of resources online to help you figure out those three elements of your hair, then you can start looking up routines from other people with your similar hair type etc.

Thank you for the answer
So what youre telling me is that it won't suffice by searching for products for 3c and I actually have to put in all the little details like the density, porosity, and all that stuff?
Seems kind of like a pain in the ass but oh well
Thanks again for that
How do I figure out the porosity and density if I may ask?
I've searched several times for it but I feel like the results are always so untrustworthy

Tressemme keratin smooth.
Wet hair- apply conditioner- wait 20 mins- dentangle under showerhead.

And a nice pomade with relaxed hold like bryl cream or some dax. Some waxes are also nice but it feels gross if you wait too long to wash it out.

Shampoo only when its filthy.

What is your hair length are u gonna grow a mop?

Looking for things that work for 3c would be better then randomly searching for stuff aimed at just "curly" hair, but the other things are pretty important. Porosity is how your hair absorbs and retains water, and density is how much hair you have on your head. Of these two, porosity is more important as it helps dictate what kind of product to use (oil based, butters, etc). Picrel worked fine enough for me to figure out porosity.

Density is a little less important, but helps with knowing how much product to use. If you have low density you literally have less hair on your head and should use less of the same product as someone with lots of hair (high density). These kinds of things will help you figure it out:
>can you see your scalp through your hair
>how thick is the circumference of your ponytail

Also, knowing if you have fine hair is useful as it has comes with its own considerations. Fine hair (curly or otherwise) is delicate, prone to breakage, easily weighed down by products, and needs to be washed often (clarifying shampoos weekly) because it gets greasy faster as the hair shafts are narrower and thus absorb less oil before it starts to visibly show.

facial cleanser strips less oil than shampoo does for me so why not.
After the shower I rub this into my scalp because it seems have good ingredients and reviews on amazon. Works for me. scalp skin is still skin so I treat it the same way I treat my face
