Fashion is appearance and lifestyle. Portraying a certain image makes you agreeable to the person that may have interest in your personality and lifestyle. Dress a certain way, you may attract the right person for you. Be it desired respect from a person , making a friend or gf.

It can be cool because it be effective at this. It is also uncool/interesting because it is subjective and can look very unappealing.

Looking into the history of some fashion houses is a start like dior, ysl, polo, creed.

If you read about the history of brands still around from 1950s (going forwards) on their about you on their website or wikipedia. See theres your own reaction to what you see, then there is the opinion of the masses. I think that the general view on the appearances view of clothes is important and probably best seen on tiktok or youtube. I think most people read here just for fun generally. I like vintage fashion enthusiasts cus it sets you up for being ready for things yo change going forward. There’s also just reading the Wikipedia pages on different items like hats then going down to trilby or fedora, as an example. Its pretty basic but it works for getting a mostly right most of the time thing with what you read there.
