where do you shop for quality basic clothes? places like gap, old navy.. etc
>>18745364Walmart, you’re welcome.
>>18745364Thrift everything, learn to read labels and focus on high cotton content then buy wholesale packs of plain t shirts from whichever department store. There is nothing quality about modern basic clothing, it's all plastic and total shit.
>>18745432arent thrift stores just used clothes from the same stores
>>18745364uniqlo for sure. most of the pieces are made out of cotton/linen and actually feelsgudman
>>18745469Those brands exist yes but generally they will be older makes before the quality and materials went to fast fashion slop. A GAP shirt from 20 years ago will be infinitely better in every metric to what is available off the rack now, you get to keep landfills a little more empty too.
Buck Mason is actually really good. I buy most of my tees, sweats, stuff like that from Buck Mason and Abercrombie.
>>18745364United Athle. make the best blank t-shirts I've ever owned. They're a Japanese company (made in China though) but their prices still come out in the $15-$20 range. Better than Uniqlo/Muji if that counts for anything.
>>18745486the thrift stores in my city are filled with shein/poly shitters already but yeah i still try to thrift/buy secondhand because there's way too many clothes just rotting on this planet. further to your point about department store t shirt packs the costco white tees were super good but even those have been replaced with a shittier version which is sad
>>18745474I feel like there's more and more poly blend stuff. Now when I go there I'm more cautious. I had to buy "around the house" trousers from the women's section because all of the men's ones had polyester in it.
I buy bronson mfg T-shirts and long sleeves
>>18745784Aliexpress brand from China
I buy Pro Club shirts from a store that's a 10 minute walk away and they're stupidly durable for cheap
