If the vast majority of women absolutely hate bras then why the fuck are they still around? This is something I never understood. Every woman I've ever met talks about how much they hate bras and how the best part of the day is taking them off after work and more and more women are beginning to go braless.But from my experience the vast majority of women still wear bras and it's still the default. And then my question comes why are bras still a thing? Why are the majority of women still in bras? Wasn't there like a massive movement back around the late 60s or early 70s to get rid of bras?Why have they stuck around for like more than half a century after? What happened to the whole movement? And I am aware that some women do need the support but if that's the case why aren't bras just a niche uncommon thing only for those women instead of the default for everybody?

bras can feel helpful at the start fo the day if you're doing a bunch of walking around and shit, then feel uncomfortable over the day by squishing and digging into stuff. when you're at home it's nice to take off cause you don't need any support for home stuff. depending on the activity and boob size they're nice to wear at least some of the timea lot of people don't need to wear a bra during the day for support, but wear one anyways because they're a big social expectation to. boobs are sexualised so women tend to get treated worse if their nipples are sticking out.there have been big pushes by feminists to get rid of the social requirement to wear bras, like with 'free the nipple'. a lot of places have made it legal for women to be tits out the same places as men as a result of that. the problem is that there's still the expectation to keem em covered. and free the nipple has lost a lot of energy over the past decade because a lot of people have pivoted from free the nipple to getting mad a trannies for existing

Not exactly comfortable and you wouldn't wear them inside the comfort of your own home but necessary because if you go out without shoes your feet will get really dirty and get hurt by stones and glass shards and all kinds of shit, without socks your shoes will get dirty and sweaty with no barrier between your stinky feet and the shoe, and without belts some pants will just constantly be falling down especially if you lost some weight. You most likely wouldn't wear any of those things when you don't have to but they all serve a very important and very necessary function.

I've noticed women with tan skin look better in white or just light colored bra in general making their tan skin pop out more. For pale women I'd say black or dark bras to contrast with their pale skin. And then obviously you've got a lot of in-between shades of skin color and people of different races and ethnicties making the topic very nuanced and complex as well as interesting. I'd say colors like orange or yellow in bras are the hardest to pull off regardless of skin color but Black women seem to look the best in such colors.

Things which are necessary for different reasons and if fitted correctly should not be uncomfortable but at the end of the day after a long day of work taking all of those things off at night is a massive relief and feels like your skin can breathe again. Like I wouldn't wanna go out in public without shoes because that's just unhygienic plus you can get infections and you can get small rocks and small glass shards stuck on your feet but I'm not gonna wear shoes at home when I don't have to. Similarly, going to work with your nips showing isn't very professional either. They are practical but when it gets hot or it's the end of a long day they feel sweaty and uncomfortable.
