I present an historical curiosity. This is the first ever Cartier tank wristwatch produced in 1917 for General BlackJack Pershing. The world’s most respected general who defeated the Kaiser wore this watch. He probably wore this baby while spraying out of work veterans with a hose.

Without context, most people would assume the watch in the pic belongs to a woman and not to a famed US general. I don’t like how ostentatious watches and clothes from that era were stolen by women.
