the old Banana Republic (catalog only era) photojournalist, safari, and bush vests were cool. there have been different versions of each model and they have reissued PJ but it's not in stock currently

one cool feature I think all versions have is a really large pocket in the small of the back, sort of a fanny pack. you can see it on this link and some of the eBay listings .
