These are my Freewheelers 1947. Irregular wear for 1.5 years. Haven't really worn them much the last few months. Been wearing a pair of their 1941 repros. You honestly are never going to find a better brand if you can afford them and have the patience to wait for their annual restocks
>>
>>18755839
the rustlers i wore in high school looked exactly the same after a year or so of washing twice a week
what makes you think those are raws
>>
>>18755930
How often have you washed them?
>>
>>18755891
what are you talking about? those jeans have fades that are probably genuine considering the patterns
>>18755937
they arent, everything is a lie
>>
>>18755947
They probably have like 8 washes. I would wear them relatively hard for like 2-3 weeks before each wash. Compared to 90% of all other 501 reproduction brands, these can definitely take a beating and were made to withstand labor. None of the important stitching in the crotch area has ripped yet despite being pretty active in them. I would pick these to wear for work over a pair of iron hearts any day of the week

I never said the fades looked fake? My only point is that its clearly not raw denim, the way it has faded only further proves that.
Given the circumstances and the cheap bright hue of the jeans I dont know why anyone would assume their raw..

How the hell am I supposed to know what size LVC 1890 501XX I should order?

The reviews say they either run too big or too small, AND they’re shrink-to-fit. I’m looking at a few second hand options on eBay that are NWT but I don’t know if I should order a 28, 29 or 30 (29 is true size) an ai even said I should order a 28

Are the 1930’s this inconsistent? I mainly want a buckle-back pair of jeans that fit right.

Those look more like mid wash jeans faded at the thighs over time. Raw denim doesn't fade like that.

Don't waste your money on LVC. If you're looking for an amazing pair of 1930s 501s, look for:
>Sugarcane 2025 Wide. This will undoubtedly give you the best looking top block and ass fit. These have the crotch rivet but for some reason they excluded the buckle back
>TCB 30s. These have all of the autistic repro details of a pair of 1936/1937 jeans. Top block fits pretty decent. Amazing fade potential
>Freewheelers 1941 (First Year of WWII Model). This is supposed to be based on a niche year of the 501, but they're basically a 1937 with all the details. Get this if you love dorky details and you don't mind a slouchy fit. This is my main pair right now and I'm in love with them

Also, if you're set on a pair of 1890 repros, you won't find anything as nice as the Black Sign Vocalion Waist Overalls. Some of the nicest fading denim I've ever seen

is there a difference in fit between True guy and the 801s? Thanks

How did you find the sizing for the Sugarcane 2025 and the Freewheelers 1941? The former seems to run really small while the latter runs large.
I have the Sugarcane Okinawa and I think I still need to finish losing another 10 pounds or so for the size 32 to be comfortable. For something described as mid to high rise with a roomy top block this pair was close to crushing my balls when I first got them. They're kinda ok now though. Debating whether I should get the 2025s in size 33, the 1941s in size 31, or stick with 32.

The waist of the SC2025 is pretty tight since they’re tapered inward. You get a considerably wide leg with them. That said, the denim is very forgiving and loose weave. I’d go with your standard sizing of 32 for those as long as you actually fit in the waist of the Okinawa jeans. If your waist fits in those, you probably will end up making the SC2025 fit perfectly once they stretch out. I have the SC1947 in the same size as my 2025 jeans and the 2025s have a tiny bit more slim waist. Everything else on those jeans is absolutely perfect though. Shape of the top block and ass is unmatched, and there’s plenty of thigh room. The Freewheelers 1941 definitely have a wide waist. If you value thigh width, I’d go with the same size as the sugarcanes but opt for a belt. Those jeans were meant to be worn with suspender straps, hence why I think they made the waist pretty large. If you are interested in the Freewheelers jeans, their absolute masterpiece pair is their 1947 cut. More thigh width and top block room compared to any 1947 inspired cut I’ve ever worn

Thanks anon, if I end up changing my mind on 2025s/1941s I could just wait for the 1947 restock I guess since they seem to be sold out from almost all Japanese stores and I don't like buying used. Or I could pay close to double ordering from Mention Clothing. They're also based in Japan but the international cost with Fedex DDP is crazy though still cheaper than international stockists like S&S lol.
I think my problem with the size 32 Okinawa jeans was that they can't even reach past my actual waist above the belly button unlike my other pants in that size. A combination of weight loss plus the fabric stretching made them fine now so I guess the 2025s in size 32 would be better.

>>18758732
The waist dimension of the 2025 jeans is about 0.5” smaller than the Okinawas, but the entire top block is larger regardless. As long as your Okinawas aren’t already super tight in the waist and you actually plan on losing 10 pounds, the SC2025 in size 32 is probably a safe bet especially considering the denim is loose weave and will stretch fairly easy. They are genuinely the best fitting top block I’ve ever worn, and the overall comfort/mobility of the jeans is flawless. I own like 12-13 pairs of jap raws and I don’t have another pair that makes my ass look as good as these. They really nailed it with the cut
