First of all tan your upper body. You look awkward as hell with a tan head and tan legs but a chest and belly that's way lighter. Beyond that go for clothes that are neither too tight nor too baggy. Dress appropriately for the occasion. Don't wear a suit and tie to the beach but also don't wear a tank top and shorts to a fancy restaurant. If you go for shorts make sure they're a few inches above the knee at least as I don't think knee-length or below the knee shorts look good on anybody.
