It's almost jacket season. What leather jackets does everyone own or what are you planning to get?

You're overthinking it, that said no chest pocket looks cleaner. Also no hardware collar looks slicker but I've only seen that in japanese mall brands

Obviously OP is bait but the sincere posts are concerning, all of this looks like cheap factory-made dogshit. If you want to wear a leather jacket and not look like some nerd in a costume get a real cow/goat leather jacket and not this synthetic-blend 'designer' trash.
>>
>>18756330
>t. larpfag pretending he knows jackshit about leather
>>
>>18756332
>look how expensive my jacket is, it even says "Genuine Leather" so it must be good!
>>
>>18756336
You are just a midwit pretending you know shit, first rule in the leather world is you never know until you burn it. As for how rugged or how polished/coated the leather is it's mostly a matter of preference, the most reputable brands offer different options, even cheap chink brands offer more natural kinds of leather for like $200
>>
>>18756341
look instead of saying a whole lot of nothing just be a man and stand by your convictions, unless you know your tastes are shit lol. Bottom line is your paper-thin childlabor racers will never compare to full grain US moto jackets. Im not even saying you need to own a bike to wear the jacket, rather you should invest in something thats built to be worn outside of selfies.
>>
>>18756358
>full-grain
>muh thickness
Oh look, more shallow buzzwords used by midwit shitters who know nothing about leather
3/4 of the jackets you quoted were made in the US btw, thanks for further proving us you're a mouthbreathing retard
>>
>>18756363
You keep calling me a dumbass yet never anything to prove me wrong. Bottom line is when they stopped making them for riders and instead went for fags trying to play pretend all necessity for quality went as well. It doesnt matter where it was made or how much you paid if it falls apart in the rain. Even if it is 100% leather it lacks the shape, weight and texture of legacy pieces. Keep throwing a tantrum because I dont like your costume fabric but it doesnt change the fact that they are just impractical, they fundamentally lack all of the leather motorcycle jackets identifying qualities.
>>
>>18756368
Fashion was always a factor, that's why you are being such a pathetic larpfaggot about muh legacy, muh heritage, muh bad boys. Actual motogp riders use thin kangaroo leather with no prior history in the bikerfaggot community.

>why yes, i do want to look like todd howard how'd you know?
>>
>>18756370
Dont know what you seek to prove here, neither cafe racers nor professional racing gear are fashionable. Theres a reason the cultural standard hasnt shifted from what it was over half a century ago, you can warp and subvert proportions all you like but it will still hide in the shadow of something greater.
>>
>>18756378
They've been fashionable since at least the 50s retard, moreso now where there are better and cheaper jackets made for biking, paying 2k to larp as a biker of the 40s is the very definition of cosplay
>>
Is there a better alternative to getting an LLbean flying tigger off ebay?
>>
>>18756377
he'd look great without the pockets
>>
>>18756330
>all of this looks like cheap factory-made dogshit
that's because they're product photos of new jackets.
it's not going to look any good until it's been worn a while.
>>
>>18756330
OP here
This is a serious thread with a bait image as OP. Sorry, I couldn't help myself

My wife bought these two leather jackets for me. The left one is a size smaller than what I usually wear, but I can still fit into it. She said she wants me to look like a WWII pilot.
>>
>>18756500
these elongated boomer dad jackets are the worst. the proportions are all wrong.
>>
>>18756511
The older I've gotten the more and more I like cropped jackets. Leather, denim, etc. All look best when they come to your belt line. Too long looks sloppy and ruins the proportions
Obviously certain styles are meant to be long like car coats or similar
>>
Schott is really all you need
>>
I own basically this exact jacket but in the naked cowhide version instead of the horsehide in the pic
I'll post my actual jacket a little later

I have owned this one for decades, and it was already worn as fuck when I first got it. It never failed me

Should I get a deadstock cop jacket without patches? They can be pretty cheap from what I've seen.
>>
>>18757586
what jacket?
>>
>>18757601
Not looking at a specific one right now but I saw some Taylor leatherwear jackets that looked pretty neat.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/277803966941
I really like the Milwaukee style.
>>
I got a Zara leather shirt that I tried quickly hand washing and it lost a bunch of color.

Unfortunately due to OCD I can't do leather jackets because I wash my stuff pretty much every wear.

Thankfully I found a small hole around a seam and had grounds to return the jacket I washed.

Leather jackets are crazy cool though.

I have a couple of nice leather jackets. My favorite is my Aero Teamster in brown cxl horsehide. I also have an original 1950s West German Luftwaffe officers coat in a dark gray cowhide, which is pretty cool. I always look forward to the weather dropping below 40F so I can wear them.
>>
>>18757729
Unironically try some decent faux? Fake suede especially doesn't look too bad and is cheap

I think a red leather jacket over a white tee with tough blue denim jeans would look pretty good. But how the fuck do I pull it off without looking mad gay?
Bonus point for wearing a tag around the neck with it?

I think a red jacket like this is cool but not in the motorcycle/cafe racer style
>>
>>18758312
It's slop, I'll give you that. But I'd rate try out some slop before spending hundreds on a jacket I'll probably regret. Besides it seems hard to find decent leather jackets in interesting cuts and not the long and slim soilennial cut jackets.
>>
>>18758271
I had a fake suede jacket that I wore when my OCD was milder, it ended up falling apart after 1-2 washes though.

I think all fake leather will flake quickly if washed.

I'm sticking to my canvas jackets for now.Sucks but in a lot of outfits the aesthetic is close.
>>
>>18758642
I'll still drop some inspo though
>>
>>18758314
fuckin travis touchdown over here
>>
>>18758690
I was actually thinking Akio Asukara, but yeah Travis Touchdown also works.
I'm headed to Japan in a month or so. They have a lot of cool stuff in thrift shops there. Unfortunately I'm like 192cm / 6"4donuts or whatever so pretty much nothing there fits me.
>>
>>18758596
>spending hundreds
That's your problem, you're an order of magnitude off.
>>
>>18758596
>>18758881
ebay is littered with great schott jackets someone wore once and then listed because they weren't confident enough to pull it off
you can get perfectos for half easily
>>
>>18758310
They're great, especially if you are looking for a more vintage style of jacket.
