At what point of hairloss should you start considering finasteride? If your hairline only receded 1mm is it too early to consider it, or should you start immediately?

>>18760353Immediately when you notice it. The point is not to let it progress because regrowing hair is much harder than preventing hair loss.
>>18760353every man should just take finasteride as a rule as soon as youre done with puberty
>>18760353Go see a dermatologist and they can tell you if your hair is miniaturizing. If it is take it immediately. The risk of side effects is extremely low. If you wait the only guaranteed way to get hair back is a transplant. Dont use it if you’re going through puberty. It enters the blood stream and starts reducing dht immediately. If you’re really bothered and don’t care to see on the rare chance you’ll get sides, just do dut its much more effective with the same side effect profile. The difference is dut lasts in your system for months after you stop taking it whereas dut takes a few days/week, so if you do develop side effects it will take months to get rid of them with dut
