It's no longer edgy and rebellious to wear skinny clothes, because it has become the default. If anything it's cringe because it makes you look like a millennial/GenX unc. So baggy slop is in now because it looks fresh, distinct and youthful because all the uncs and hags are still wearing slim/skinny clothes.
