Fashion(especially in the 1st world) is mainly intended to elevate the body, even if the intent is to amplify pre-existing attributes it still functions to create an overall better form. By removing the shell you are exposing all of the weak points. Theres a reason that nakedness in the larger culture of man has always had an association with vulnerability. While different groups throughout different periods and environments have been willing to show varying amounts of skin depending on the situation, full absolute nakedness has and will always be a taboo. While theres been a growing interest in humans reconnecting with our 'animal instincts' and returning to an purer way of life, we cannot undo the original steps which brought us to this point. The killing of rival mammals to create protection from the elements is what separated us from the rest of the food chain. Rolling in our own shit and basking in the material will never undo the proverbial apple of Eden.
