Or put differently: if you can clearly improve on your overall looks by having better hygiene, a better haircut, a better build, then the clothes come off as a cope more than they do anything else. People also underestimate the value of cohesion. There are certain fits that require certain haircuts. Simple as. If you wear a suit and have a fade you will look like a retard who doesn't belong in the suit. The same if you have a masculine face and male pattern balding but wear skater baggies, hoodies or skinny jeans and a tshirt. As long as there's cohesion, it will look natural. Which is kinda funny since, technically, altering your overlook look to better match your preferred fit makes you all the more "fake" in theory.
