Having pic rel changed my life with regards to ironing long sleeves. Entirely erased the problem of accidently ironing in a crease along the top/bottom etc.

Like do you press the steaming button when ironing?

Wash clothing, remove from washer promptly, hang dry, dedicate 1-2hrs to iron everything all at once. Regarding long sleeved things, i iron the sleeve first using the sleeve board, then the rest of the body, ending with the collar, then hang things in closet. So long as you don't leave your clothes in a pile on the floor after wearing it, you really have to iron once after washing. I find ironing enjoyable so I don't mind either way.

Ya I use the steam setting on my iron constantly. All my stuff is cotton or linen. Linen absolute does best with a heavy steam-iron. I have a dry iron too but it doesn't get the job done for thick linen stuff.

I do it like you do except that I iron it before wearing it, because the shirts get creased in the closet again
