Acne Studios or the Perfecto/Brando style leather jacket?
>>18770069Perfecto jacket
>>18770071Yeah, people wear them to ride motorcycles. Some "rockstar" types still wear them Unfortunately the golden age of SLP/Slimane rockstar aesthetic is long over.
>>18770082The fit is not the problem here it's the face The fit is fire
Biker jackets are tricky because you have to be white, skinny to muscular lean, tall, decently handsome, and young to pull them off.>whiteThey look out of place on anyone else, it's too strong a cultural association with the biker gangs of a formerly 90% white america>skinny to muscular leanThe fat don't look good in anything, and muscled-up guys look like tom of finland characters in leather>tall/decently handsome/youngManlets/dorky looking guys/older men will look like they're compensating for a lack of masculinity resulting from their height/faces/age
>>18770141i'm white, 6'2", and thin (though age is catching up to me). i'm 36can i still wear one?
>>18770112Shirt or shoes could be better, but yeah nigga looks like he's going to math olympics or something
>>18770142If you're not balding you could totally wear a beat up looking biker and dupe normies into thinking you're some old guard rocker who has been wearing the same jacket for 15 years
>>18770077Saying this right when Hedi is starting to become trendy again, lol. What a shit hole.
>>18770154I don't keep up with that shit anymore. It's not worth it Who is he even designing for now? He still with Celine?
>>18770082he just needs to commit to the bit desu
>>18770082It's impossible to look cool in a leather jacket with glasses. It can't be done
>>18770159The original had none of those modifications
>>18770159Ich muss durch den Monsuuuuun, hinter die WeeeeeltAns Ende der Zeit, bis kein Regen mehr fällt
>>18770062yeahidk why the fuck you'd ever buy an asscne perfecto when schott perfecto is cheaper and better
>>18770304Because people who buy acne are not looking for quality but for thr brand name itself.
>>18770353618 is the only acceptable perfecto
>>18770062they’re so cool
>>18770062No but seriously how do you style one of these? I have a vintage one that's awesome but I never wear it because I don't know how to style it without it looking larpy.
>>18770541jeans, white tee and boots is the eternal classic looks
>>18770526don't be a pussy and get the 613 with the stars118 is also a good choice
>>18770546Dressing like a greaser is the opposite of what anon asked
>>18770549what other way is there to style a perfecto?
>>18770550I don't know it's one of those items.. There's no easy way that's for sure, so many factors, case by case basis.
>>18770581It tends to look better in historic photos than on people in real life in the modern day. Not one of these guys look good and it is essentially every body type and jacket fit on display. The only improvement could say is become more handsome and maybe it would look better.
>>18770583>zero confidence>None of them are remotely masculine>nothing is fitted properly>no authenticity with the outfits all of it looks like costumesThe problem is that their trying to look like something pre-existing from a different era as opposed to dressing in a way that naturally suits them. Its a larger problem with what we retroactively describe as subcultures.
>>18770595You'll just look like a gay guy then
>>18770062It is very popular in Asia. They think they look Schwarzenegger when wearing it, but it looks really cringe on most people. My gf wears pic related when it get cold on evening, but she's crazy arthoe and fucking pretty so anything looks good her, lol
>>18770541A perfecto is one of those items you have to build your fit around and lean heavily into it. Pick one:>greaser/biker>punk/metal>Hedi Slimane>>18770595Also their jackets are too long. A perfecto should be on the cropped side.>Its a larger problem with what we retroactively describe as subcultures.Subcultures tend to be heavily codified and as such very static. Evolution dilutes and kills the subculture and preservations means stagnation. That's why they're doomed to die, with the occasional revival aside.
>>18770583The problem is they are trying way too hard to look cool, the double rider is a casual jacket, not a fucking uniform
>>18770622I don't think those are great fits either.. It kind of looks cool there, but not good.
When you colorize the most famous photo of the jacket it becomes larpy
>>18770062Leather jacket like Elvis
>>18770622>not a fucking uniformAre you joking why post a pic of the Ramones then? Since their beginning the leather jackets of the Ramones have been unanimously described as 'their uniform'. I mean they all had the same hairstyles and took the same last names, they were willfully more uniform than other rock band of the era or even any else that came after.
>>18770761Yeah because this was a movie costume, not to mention a movie costume intended to be seen in black&white. It also doesnt help that the image you used was already heavily saturated.
>>18770864>same hairstylesNo, they all just have different kinds of unkept long hair, not really a "style" as in the beatles.>uniformIt's really not, that's just how they dressed usually, they didn't "invent a look" specifically for the band.>they were willfully more uniform than other rock band of the eraOther punkers like Johnny Rotten or the post punk guys were infinitely more tryhard wity their outfits than they were
>>18770866Yeah but it was the inception of the look
>>18770606I remember the discussion about perfectos on /fa/ from couple of years ago, and anon said it’s kinda mirror of a garment. If you are naturally good looking it will suit you well, but if not it will not compensate for the lack of the looks.
They claim it to be vegetable tan, and they have a fair share of reviews, but can a jacket of that kind be that cheap?
>>18771062I think there are some reviews of Jiashi/Veluokdly/Curphey jackets on leddit if you want to check them out. Worse case scenario you get some kind of mixed tan instead of 100% veg tan which is still not bad at all
>>18770583>>18770595I said this in another thread... perfecto jackets are not for everyone. The average guy is gonna look like he is trying too hard.>>18770600Bit gay innit?
my wife says I look handsome in mine, I've been wearing it lately because the weather has turned a little bit cooler. I do look handsome in it, and when I flirt with random girls they are pretty receptive. I'm not a tough guy edgy guy so I disagree with some of the comments here. You just got to be comfortable with yourself wearing it basically.
I have a cheap one I bought as an actual motorcyle jacket. I think it looks goofy but I also don't feel comfortable in it and I think the fit is off. It's not bad when it's chilly on the bike though.
>>18770082>>18770583>Cool people: exist>Dorks: Wow those people are so cool, it must be their clothes>Dorks emulate Cool people clothes>Overexposure makes the fashion not cool anymoreThe fuckin cycle
>>18770162It's possible but losing glasses is 9000 times simpler to pull off.
>>18770583>>18770595From left or right 1 and 2 actually pull it off. They just need more hints of the physical threat. If they had karate fists calluses their look would become true.
>>18772942pic unrelated?
>>18770146You can wear it while balding but then you need a trashy facial hair pattern like horseshoe and a balding ponytail and sun damaged skin
>>18770162You didn't consider sunglasses motherfucker
>>18770062When getting one, just make sure you can actually hold on to your handlebars without exposing your belly/ What you want is high, nicely fit armholes. If they're too low, it'll pull the jacket up when holding the handlebars
>>18772942Anon, do you think this guy pulls it off? Because he looks like a chubby chode in his girlfriend's jacket.
>>18773362>Anon, do you think this guy pulls it offHe absolutely does. He fits the image of " the eccentric billionaire". Like hall is full of "suits", but then this guy in a leather jacket walks in and everyone understands that his is The Boss, and suits are just no name troops.
>>18770163Actually he has "curazy hair" too.
>>18773360Sunglass obviously don't count since they're cool Regular eyeglasses are just dorky and lame
>>18773483You type like a child.
