If you have money but you want a designer suit you go to armani
if you have money and you want a nice suit you go to a tailor and have one made.

Here's the real deal:
>sub 100k/yr: rent a suit for the one time a year you need one, if you somehow got a min wage job that requires a suit you tell your employer they can either give you a stipend for a suit or gargle your balls, if they give you a stipend see next point
>100k+: try to thrift a zegna suit or something, take it to dry clean then have it altered at a tailor, alternatively for something easier go to suitsupply and get a suit from them and have them alter it to fit you
>money flex: bespoke, if you have the money for it you already know where, no don't go get a suit from whatever southeast asian shithole you read about
Anything else is for suit snobs, if you're one of them you can form your own opinions.

my real advice is to amortize the cost based on how much you're really going to wear it. if you're wearing it once a week then you can get whatever you want rtw, within reason. anything past zegna has zero return, you won't notice the difference. kiton is literally the same as isaia and costs much more just because of the name. all these rtw suits can be found in large cities. suits will last 10+ years, even if worn weekly. you're far more likely to get tired of the style before it gets worn out.

bespoke is a meme, it's probably even a meme even if you live in literally london and naples. those tailors don't care about your one off order, they'll cut whatever they want and tell you to go away. unless you know them and they know you're ordering 5-10 suits a year, they don't want you there. all those car crash suits you see on SF and elsewhere are from these one order small timers.

While it's true that someone poor should be a cheap suit, but that's only because that's all they can afford.
It's also true that someone rich can afford a more expensive suit, but that's just the options available to them.
The truth is, after like 100k a year, any suit becomes affordable and in general clothing ceases to be a status symbol.

In fact, most rich people don't wear anything fancy at all, and I'm not talking le stealth wealth old money, I mean they just wear random shit.
They're out there wearing polyester tshirts and cargo shorts with no sense of fashion whatsoever because fashion doesn't mean anything to them.
And here's the real kicker. Whenever you do see some rich celebrity wearing some crazy high end fashion. It's a product placement. They didn't buy those clothes, infact it's the total opposite, they themselves were paid to wear them.
