I basically have no fashion sense and im 22, i go to college and all the people are younger than me and they all dress cool whereas i just look boring and stupid, i'm too old to dress like them, how do i deal with this?
>>18771241I have the basically the same issue, I'm 20 and i have no idea how to dress nice like all the other zoomers. I have one outfit that semi-works on my and thats the literally only thing i wear out. I really tried shopping for something but i'm 5'5 and anything i buy, even the smallest sizes hand on me like a sack on a scarecrow. Shirts go down to 1/3rd/half my thigh, i can hide my arms in the sleeves. I wish i could find just a few pairs of good outfits that don't make me look like a freak, as i do think i'm good looking, so if i figured out the gen z fashion shit i would be happy

Look around you and disallow yourself from wearing one item npcs around you wear all the time, it'll force you to think what else is there. Eventually you can remove a bit more - e.g. remove one top type, one trouser type, one shoe type etc. and then when you know something remove the restrictions
literally just stop wearing tshirts and only neutral colors, that's all you have to do
First of all work out, you have terrible posture and your duck feet say everything. Getting a better frame makes everything easier. Secondly, you're fucking 22, you're not too old to dress cool. Next, learn how clothes should fit and observe how they fall on your body, understand what silhouette you're aiming for (usually a V shape if you're starting out). Learn some basic color theory, observe cool outfits and try to understand why they work for the person and take what you can apply to you. Don't hesitate to play dress up and go to the mall to try shit without buying anything. This shit like anything worthwhile takes time and those younger kids may have been at it since their teens while you were hunched in front of your pc all day.
>>18771241>>18771252You just have to wear large light wash jeans and a basic black or white tshirt. You Zoombags have it very easy, you're the most conformist generation, you all dress the same.
>>18771317Do you have anything to substantiate that? The photo you used is over a decade old lol. It seems to me that you haven't left the house in some time..
>>18771325I know many zoombags, they all dress like this.
>>18771333Again, if your a millennial you should know that they arent dressing like you, or rather you should know what women your age dressed like back in school.. Zoomers dress like anything and everything due to the advent of social media. The most common grievance held against gen z is their lack of shared identity.
>>18771241id look at all of these pictures in this link vvv and note what styles or pieces you like(literally write down the designer and or type of garment and try to find stuff like it for cheap by thrifting or buying from secondhand retailers). you should also really think critically about what you dont like, approach it kinda with survivorship bias in mindhttps://wwd.com/fashion-news/fashion-trends/gallery/mens-spring-2027-trends-sorbet-colors-street-bermudas-1239051007/if you dont like anything there or dont want to spend time doing that just shop at uniqlo. youll look like a boring millennial but at least you wont be wearing cargo pants
>>18771252>even the smallest sizes hand on me like a sack on a scarecrowUnironically look in the kids section. You even save money because its cheaper
ignore anyone telling you about color trends or whatever. start with the basics. >>18771317 this guy is probably closest to the mark though the meta has been mildly updated:>wrangler 13mwz jeans. dark blue. get ones that fit in the WAIST and LENGTH, baggy in the legs is fine. >shoes: no more running shoes. get some plain converse or vans for daily wear >get some loafery shoes for going out. you can probably get away with boat shoes if you dont live near the west coast or new york>just buy a pack of white t shirts. i like calvin klein>get a haircut. any barber can set you up with a servicable side part. comb it.>maybe get a flannel to start and worry about a good jacket later more depending on your climate. a plain black zip hoodie might get you pretty far.you can get all of this at good will. maybe go try on pants at a real store though. get going with these then worry about what you want to look like. if you have basics that fit in neutral colors not covered in logos, you can go a lot of directions and look fine.
>>18771241Yeah work out is the best advice. That said, youre at school so you probably dont have a lot of money, go.to ebay/ thrift shops. Get some indigo jeans, get some Grey trousers, get some brown trousers. Its fall winter, so light colours are bad, that's for spring summer. Get long sleeve button ups. Get a blazer. If you must wear a t-shirt like garment get a polo. Never wear cargo pants again. You've elevated your look. Get some sweaters so you can layer. Get better shoes immediately. Sneakers are for walking the mall when your 75 or for playing sports. Get some proper shoes. Watch Tom Ford style videos, he constantly stresses the classic advice "dress like who you want to be in 5 years". I assume youre in school to be employed at some job. The people who do whatever it is you want to do dont wear cargo pants...Finally you just lack confidence. What you really need is a woman. Catch 22 there.
>>18771317OP here, basically most guys at my college wear baggy jeans and a black t shirt with some design on it and also they have bangs or a curly hairstyle, but i feel too old to dress like that, i would probably look stupid too
Ban the following items from your wardrobe:T-shirtsHoodiesGym pantsGym shoesAdidas shoes specificallyBasically any normie "urban" clothes for lazy mindless people, from there try to find your own styleThere's this thing i call "fancy sleazy" where people (mostly women) wear fancy clothes like those big beige coats but they wear them wrong like they leave them open and crooked or maybe it looks like it fits wrong, even though i personally fucking hate it i feel like it would suits you judging by your hair, would give you an artsy/eccentric look
