I'm an unfashionable early 30's guy in decent shape. I want to dress well but I don't really know what style I want or how to get started. Last time I tried buying something nicer and wearing it in a club, I got told I looked like a librarian.I was thinking it might be a decent idea to buy some random stuff on Vinted, or go to a non-Primark clothing store and just buy a few things - but I might end up with the librarian result again. How do I get the ball rolling and start moving in the right direction? I don't seem to have a fashionable gay friend to dress me up so
>>18775538>I got told I looked like a librarian. Then it's pointless to pursue your own personal niche in the market. Best and safest bet is just to just adopt a business casual style, especially at your age (you don't experiment in your 30s). Yeah it's boring and plebbit tier but you will be seen as fashionable by the people that matter.
>>18775538Why are you clubbing over the age of 30
wish we had a sticky for the people that come with the same problem every two weeks
>>18775541Boring jackass normie core. That’s stuff you wear if you don’t want to stand out hence it doesn’t belong on /fa/ of all places. Not wanting to stand out is unfashionable.
>>18775558He's a 30+ year old regular guy not your favorite hollywood heart throb being photographed leaving a starbucks on the sunset strip playing dress up. Stop being a retarded nigger manchild and learn how the world actually works.
>>18775542don't rain on his parade man
>>18775538if a girl told you that you looked like a librarian she was flirting with youif a guy told you then he was just jealous a girl was checking you out
>>18775538Try a flecktarn parka. You wanna try being a bit out there, go a bit out there. They also come a blouse (button shirt) pretty commonly used by fashion designers.Pic related is how people dressed 10 years ago and is dated.
>>18775538> I'm an unfashionable early 30's guyits over bud, the only way to be effay past 27 is to be famous. Only thing you can do at this point is to wear your regional style with perfect fitting and the “best” brands
>>18775538You showed up with the wrong outfit to the wrong place. If you want to dress for other people, just copy what other people are wearing. You can literally just go up to people and ask what they’re wearing and they will brag about it to you.Actually developing your own personal style is a completely separate thing and the confidence from that comes from knowing what you have on is to your taste, not what a random stranger thinks if it looks good or not.
