SOVL
>>18784050pretty nice but why these and not some other integrated one?
>>18784057In the realm of cope-tier integrated bracelet watches, these are some of the cleanest. They left off unnecessary dial text and bullshit like fake bolts on the case.It would be nice if they had a color-matched datewheel (or, better still, a no-date option) but in this space, nothing's going to be perfect.
>>18784050huge cad shitters
>>18784050They make good watch, the problem is the name.No way in hell i'm wearing a watch named Robert Jewstein or Shlomo Salomon... or Christopher Wart, not to make it a racial thing.Call your brand Excelsior, King, Success, idk.
>>18784095Yeah the brand ruins it. When I look at brands like that it looks like a shampoo company decided to make branded watches.
You really don't need more than a dressy watch, a casual watch, and a flashy weekend watch.I can understand if you're a collector and want more, that's fine. But if you're just interested in the bare minimum, you can stop at three.
>>18784019keep it on the store shelf?
>>18784016Why the fuck would they make a PRX homage out of all things?
>>18784130Definitely based. I agree that there’s no need for a large collection. I love that YM.
>>18784130It just dawned on me; Tudor is actually better than Rolex.Tudor is a master chronometer while Rolex is "superlative". What does that mean in practise? Rolex doesn't even do third party certification on them, instead they do their own testing and deem it "better".I'm so glad I went with my BB54, after getting it, I don't even think about Rolex. In a world where Rolex screams status, Tudor whispers taste. A Rolex is the billboard of success, but Tudor? It’s the secret handshake of those who know better. You pay less, yet get a sibling forged in the same fires—Swiss precision, timeless design, and none of the "look-at-me" hysteria. A Tudor is a poet's watch; a Rolex, a salesman’s pitch. Why spend double to impress strangers when you could spend less and impress yourself?
>>18784182>I don't even think about Rolexlmfao. sure you don't.
>>18784182
>>18784066They're actually little cad shitters.
It's a copypasta, ignore him.
>>18784130I generally agree, but I think taste and self expression are also really important and even as a minimalist it would feel really cringe to me to sealize I have the same "speedmaster, rolex, and either a cartier or a reverso" collection that 90% of reddit posts every day.
>>18784197why the speed master though? it's an ugly watch
>>18784197recelso
>>18784011Any good genta style octagonal watch suggestions
>>18784197>collection that 90% of reddit posts every day. There's a difference between the collection they say they want and the collections they actually have. This guy >>18784130 just happened to buy them. Going by back of the envelope math, assuming everything was purchased used, puts that trio at about 20 grand US. That's a lot of money to spend on watches for 99.9% of the population.Just like here, no one owns shit. They're probably posting the same Orients and Casios.
>>18784204Hey Bittercel. I don't think he's ever coming back. He abandoned you here. You'll never get to hit him with that zinger you've been sitting on for the past five-plus years.
I got a kicked out ouf tv by jannies very likely for pointing out how disasterous it would be if Christopher Walken's character and Butch's dad in Pulp Fiction had to hide Royal Oaks up their asses tearing up their anuses trying to shit out that unwieldy piece of heavy machinery everytime.
>>18784204>>18784214QRD on what's going on here?
>>18784224Bittercel, the kid you can recognize from his constantly spamming the word "shitter" in all-lowercase posts that aren't replying to everyone, has spent the last couple years, since covid, at least, obsessed with some poster who owned a Reverso. That guy called out Bittercel for being a jealous little bitter incel and coined the name "Bittercel".He basically disappeared a few weeks later, around the time traffic dropped when everyone started coming out of lockdown. Bittercel stuck around, desperately hoping to call that guy "Recelso" because that's what passes for a clever comeback.
Kofé time.
>>18784169So "need it" refers to ME and "keep it" refers to THEM? Why the fuck would you ask both of them of me then? This stupid new saying has never added up.They used to say "need it or got it". There was no reason to change.
>>18784226You don't own that watch, Nazi.

>>18784229Jew cunt is fighting windmills again
>>18784199They do make good ones but sheeple
>>18784199>why the speed master though? it's an ugly watch"ugly" is subjective. Some people like that its straightforward in its design without resorting to silly gimmicks or needlessly going upmarket. Matte black dial, white painted hands. Now, for contrast, think of how the 1016 Explorer looked compared to today's luxo version. In the case of the Speedmaster as well, it's also effectively unchanged since the 1960s, in terms of case dimensions. What worked in the 60s, works today. Sure, some people jerk themselves off about the moon bullshit, but for everyone else, it's a solid sports chronograph with 60s styling at a pretty reasonable price. There's not much else out there like it. Some of the Zeniths, perhaps, but those all have that dreadful 4:30 date window.I think in >>18784130 's example, it pairs really nicely with the flashy Yacht-Master. One is more understated, the other is sparkling platinum and high-polish.
>>18784213I don't understand your point or what it has to do with the post you're replying to.
>>18784260Damn, nice TOOTER, dude!
>>18784217Somehow I doubt that's the reason, unless tv jannies are the complete opposite of the jannies here. Because there's absolutely no way you'd be banned for posting this here.
>>18784199You mean why does everyone buy a speedmaster? It's a lot of things. The space travel story and fantasy surrounding the watch that went to the moon is compelling for a lot of people, despite how played out it is for most normal people who are kind of tired of hearing it and think Omega should give it a rest. The other thing is for such a well made chronograph with such a legend surrounding it, it was really cheap even at retail for many years and they made a lot of them so you can still get really good ones used for pretty cheap to this day. So it was really good value for a historical name brand watch that did something cool with a really popular complication, it was kind of a no brainer for someone who likes watches, it almost felt undervalued. But all the price hikes and Omega putting out 27 special releases all throughout the year has made it feel tired.
I don't understand why online spaces for watches haven't been inundated with girls in bikinis and shit the way other interests have been, like trading card collecting of all things.
It's here.
Surprisingly solid watch for $10. I'm actually quite impressed.
But I'm never realistically going to wear it so I'm going to leave the battery off.
