What denim jacket do you prefer? Type I, II or III?I used to swear by the type III but now I think they look lame. I want a nice selvedge type II
I got super into denim jackets after seeing Drive and was only interested in type 3s. But then I got more into repros and "heritage" clothes and now I really want a type 2. Type 1 never really interested me because I like the symmetry of type 2
Type 1 or 3 for meType 2 has too much front pocket action
Imagine believing there are just three types because Ol’ Dusty Pete said soHoly retards
>>18790113He seems to be asking about those 3 specifically though. Also your pic related looks like very bad design (and 80s eastern eurocore/Essex girl - just needs some applique rhinestone to complete the look)
Levis made a type 2 with handwarmer pockets hidden in the side seams. Been looking for it ever since I watched Badlands.
>>18790138So far I've got a type 1 Levis premium with said hidden handwarmer pockets in the sidexseams and a regular levis type 3 from the 2010's that's a tad too long in the torso and slim in the sleeves (which was tge style at the time). Eventually I wanna get me avintage Lee Storm Rider. Used to have a Wrangler 124mj, which was cool but unpractical.
>>18790116If you find designs that are neither I, II or III the whole concept of the “types” falls into shit. Lee makes a sort of type III but with parallel seams, so it’s not a type III. And this reply is more than respectful considered how fucking dumb you are.
>>18790113This is hideous though
>>18790144>point still stands
>>18790148Just answer the original question lmao
>>18790168I like type XVII
>>18790143>If you find designs that are neither I, II or III the whole concept of the “types” falls into shit.Irrelevant, because that terminology is well established and widespread in the industry. No matter how much you disagree with it, it's gonna be used.
>>18790175>le doom capitalism realistBro you are so cringe. That’s the opinion of a /pol/tard in 2015. How old are you?
>>18790176Are you denying my previous post?
>>18790177What even is your previous post? You’re an Anonymous indistinguishable retard and I don’t even know what you’re talking about. I like type XIX if that matters to you.
>>18790178Ah, just running damage control, then. And failing miserably at it.
>>18790179So you keep counting three types cause Rufus Ol' Barn Higgins told you so?
>>18790181The terminology was never meant to categorize all denim jackets in existence. It was meant to categorize three specific designs made originally by Levis. I don't know exactly when the terminology originated but my guess is that it's much more recent than the designs themselves. So when people refer to types I, II or III they're refering to very specific jacket designs, which arguably count themselves as the most popular. Again, no objection on your part will change that.
>>18790193>So when people refer to types I, II or III they're refering to very specific jacket designsYeah, the designs created by Levi’s, period. Meanwhile, all other designs are excluded. And yet you’re so retarded and passive that you perpetuate this empty terminology. So, thanks for answering my question positively.
>>18790197>Meanwhile, all other designs are excludedThere's a reason for that. I can't fully confirm it, but I'm almost sure that said terminology comes from the japanese repro industry whose attention is about 90% centered around Levis. And moreso, only about a handful of designs and cuts. Literally they do not care about other brands and designs for the most part and with a few exceptions. So considering the weight the jaoanese repro industry has had on the denim market since the 00's, of course the terminology caught on.>you perpetuate this empty terminology.I can't do shit in this regard and neither can you. My point is that seething about a widespread terminology is moot. It's in use, it will be in use. Regardless of your or my opinion on it.
>>18790176>ad hominem mentioning /pol/ with zero context You lost
>>18790060I want a type 1, I'll get the tcb one, my 21 oz type 3 from bravestar is getting holes and fraying at the edges
The 60s wrangler 24mjz is the best. Cropped and it still has pockets. The type I and II are cool but lack of pockets makes them annoying to wear. Red tornado makes a repro of it. Just don't size it as small as this actor did.
>>18790208>thinking am gonna read that amount of coping slop>>18790215>retard is confused

Apparently Turkish selvedge is a thing!Changing my pick >>18790339
>>18790440>Turkish selvedge is a thing!Levi's Vinyage Clothing makes most of its stuff on Turkey, makes sense they'd make selvedge for other brands.
>>18790339Not a “type 3”. Retard.
