Have you and your partner tried dressing like adults? Has it changed how people treat and respect you?

We have to dress rather formally because we're both lawyers and when we hang out after work with other people who don't have to dress like that they make these assumptions that we must be super put together and wealthy when in reality we're probably not killing it in comparison to them. Also customer service/hospitality people treat me better and I could probably shoplift with impunity. Wearing a suit is basically a hallpass to get away with petty crime.

I don't dress like the dude on the right tho, I'd get funny looks. He'd probably look fine if not for the hat and the tie that doesn't go down far enough. I dress pretty conservatively in modern cuts but with a preference towards more relaxed italian suiting. Partner could probably get away with dressing like the chick on the right but she's pretty much just wears contemporary yuppie office stuff. Pantsuits, houndstooth jackets etc.

>he doesnt have enough swag to display hattitude

People definitely treat you better if you wear a suit, I don't get why this enrages so many on here.

oh no no no, not the low-rise double pleated pants. don't bring these back, let them stay in the 90s. if you want to wear pleats, mid-rise at least, preferably high rise especially if they're going to worn with a jacket over.

also those loafers are tired, the tie is too short, sunglasses not a good choice. girl looks fine but shoes can be improved.

I'm an incel so no partner. I think I dress well and I get treated normally but people probably think I'm an overdressing nerd.

When casually dressed I usually wear all black with an unbuttoned button down over an extreme metal or goth band shirt but when it's cold out or I just feel like it, I wear a black button down tucked into black slacks with a black or gray trenchcoat and any such outfit has gotten me by far the most compliments I ever get.
