CXL horsehide has this glossy translucent quality to it. It also has amazing pull-up and base core color patina effects.
Is there a cheap asian alternative that gets close?

I just got an Aero jacket last week and it's really good. Just save up and commit to the one you want. It's not better or worse than my Schott, I like both. The Schott actually has better, cleaner stitching overall

Check out Crush on Retro. Made in China and not trying to hide it but unlike many Chinese brands, there are loads of positive reviews of it by non shills. Horsehide for 400 or less. I'm actually considering one of theirs just to see if it lives up to the hype
