It does shit. Might *also* be a scam if it's too over-priced per dosage.

Ain't nobody got time pho dat.

Post body

>pho
I'm sure a tasty pho made with good quality broth will be full of collagen, yes.

>>77275647
>>77275659
I'd recommend just buying collagen powder, rather than caps, since the latter is overpriced and the dose of one cap is far too low.
>>
is this not the same shit as gelatin?
>>
>>77275655
Retard
>>
>>77275647
I took it for two months or so and didn't notice any real difference. I also didn't have anything to fix though like aching tendons and whatnot so maybe that's why I didn't notice anything.

Basically yeah, two haribo cola bottle candies should have more than one of these pills. I feel like it could maybe help a tiny bit? Mostly because these amino acids are not in a lot of meat and dairy people eat so it could maybe balance your aminos. I don't think they are essential but I think the body can use them. Also, all the suspicious studies seem to combine it with vitamin C which also is necessary to built tendons and stuff. I swear one study just tested collagen plus vitamin c against neither of those things. The quality of these studies is weak but trying to get gelatin in through chicken skin and tripe and such and even haribo (if you are carb fueling as a runner it is a good alternative to nerds clusters or whatever as it is higher in gelatin).

I think 400mg pills are going to do jack shit you probably want to get like 1.5-3 grams of gelatin and even then I personally treat it as a sort of harmless placebo thing that might work might not. With haribo you are at least not rewarding supplement manufacturers for what is probably the highest margin BS they sell.

gelatin is dirt cheap. i can't help but feel like it's a bunch of bullshit. your body makes what it wants with the amino acids it gets. i can't imagine overloading it with precursors to collagen would force it to make more collagen if it is already making sufficient collagen. but i also haven't looked into it.
>>
>>77275647

take it before workout. only way it will work aside from beauty aspects..
>>
>>77275662
>yeah bro just eat a shit-ton of jello and beef tendons
A single pack of jello has eight times the amount of collagen as one of those pills.
>>
>>77275902
I was going to dunk on you for what you said in your first sentence, but then I looked up the nutrition information and you're absolutely right. That is insane.
>>
>>77275915
>your body makes what it wants with the amino acids it gets
This is true, consumed collagen is broken down to aminoacids anyways, but consuming it assures you have the exact aminoacids required to synthesize collagen in high supply. You don't strictly need it, it's just an easy gurantee.

Buy chicken frames or any cheap bone in cut and turn them into stock. I get chicken wings for a dollar a pound, they have skin, joints and bones so they're super high in collagen. Use the stock for soups or cook your rice in it.
Significantly cheaper than this shit with varied types of collagen + it actually tastes good.
>>
>>77275647
>400mg
At that dose it does nothing.

But it is useful for joint and tendon health. Take it with vitamin c.

I take it for 3 years now everyday (2000mg, hydrolyzed from fish skin and bones) for young skin and tendons. Pic related is me. I can also jump very high and do a kick midair without joint pain.

My friend used to work at a place that manufactured collagen and he gave me a lot with a big discount. Used to for a year and I didn't see any difference. When I started buying pork belly and fatty pork beef weekly that's when I actually saw improvement in my hair and skin/nails.

Maybe the collagen was shit idk, but with food it's definitely noticeable.
>>
>>77276191
damn! great work anon.. you must be what.. 16?? 17 at most?
>>
I used it about 3 months at 5g a day and didn't notice any difference.
>>
>>77275880
You didnt need to announce yourself like that
>>
>>77276191
You must be over 18 to post here.
>>
>>77276191
I've never seen such a young man
>>
>>77276191
if you’re only like 16, which clearly you are, you should be able to do a kick in midair without joint pain with or without consuming collagen.
>>
>>77275902
>only 6,9% gelatin
>some candies go up to a little over 10%
>>
>>77275647
it's for old people (30+) with tendon issues
>>
>>77276191
They sell collagen to high schoolers?
>>
>>77276425
Yeah all those old people buying collagen supplements
>>
>>77275817
>m sure a tasty pho made with good quality broth will be full of collagen, yes.
Don't forget the tripe
>>
>>77275687
how do you think that collagen powder is made?
>>
anegdotical evidence only
i have been taking 20g a day (of which 12,4 is collagen hydrolyzate and the rest is some msn and some vitamins and such) primarily for shoulder/lower bicep head tendon pain plus moved from barbell bench to dumbbells flat bench with neutral grip
results are, the injury is gone completely, though it obviously was not the only factor that was supposed to contribute
it helps, maybe, it does not hurt, surely
>>
>>77276191
Young as fuck.
>>
I add 10 grams of neutral collagen peptide powder to my morning coffee every day. Been doing this for at least 2 years now. I also take vitamin c. Everyone says I look really young for my age and everyone assumes I am much younger than I am.

It improves skin, tendons and joints, and provides protein amino acids that I don't get from other protein sources like chicken breast, whey, greek yoghurt.

I could just eat stew or drink stock, but I don't have time to make stews and stocks all the time so collagen peptides powder in my coffee is just a simple consisten fairly cheap way to do it.

>>77276765
This sounds like an ad
>>
>>77276217
how does he do it?
>>
>>77275647
If you supplement it, take marine collagen.
The two french fathers of bodybuilding (Gundill & Delavier) both swear by it, so it can't be that bad.
>>
>>77276471
I find it baffling that you thought this was a good response or refutation, that just makes it even worse that you're not eating the original source with all the other extra nutrients
There's not even a price/ratio angle like creatine or protein considering what other anons have posted so far
>>
>>77276191
wow young never seen a I've such boy
>>
If I want to take collagen is it best to get pills, powder, or just eat gummy bear or jello?

Also do I need to take it with vitamin C and 30 minutes before workout?
>>
>>77276816
lmaoo
>>
>>77277246
take it whenever or maybe after workout.
>>77276349
picrel is 8.5% where are you finding 10+. I feel anything that is marketed as gelatin supplement is kinda cheating.
