These are all things a DYEL tells himself. There's a point to full ROM, and there are ways to cheat. But don't confuse the two. Better to do five pullups chin above bar than ten half-pullups where not even your eyes clear the bar. Looks like ol' Marky Mark did more half-pullups than I can, but I can do more actual pull-ups than he did because he didn't even do one.
