How much dead hanging a day before it interferes with recovery?
>>
It literally does nothing unless it’s one-handed. Maybe if you’re extremely obese
>>

You can weight them bro. Just get a pullup belt. They're like pullups for fatties and powershitters who are too heavy to do a real pullup.

Go do 3sets of 2 minutes dead hanging and see how you feel, if thats too easy add like 10lbs next week. Eventually you build up to doing pullups.

What is the longest you can dead hang in a bar without your grips? 20 seconds?
>>
>>77278150
I just do them one-handed. Much faster than attaching weights
>>
>>77278150
I last 1 minute
>>
>>77278153
2 minutes 25 seconds
just carryover from real grip work and pull ups
not a particularly useful exercise to train, but a nice stretch after sitting down for a long time

Yes but with this

I genuinely find it hard to believe you can last over 2 minutes hanging on a metal bar unless you're a twig.
Though i have never bothered to try it fresh since thst does seem pointless. My favorite finisher for pullup, chinup, hanging leg raises and i probably last 30 seconds at the most.
>>

*never bothered to dead hang fresh
That would be like starting off with plsnks, instead of doing planks when you or more or less already at failure for your abs.
>>
>>77278110
very unfortunately named exercise
>>
>>77278168
Then keep doing it every week, and build up to two minutes, then progress either with a belt or go one handed.

Ideally you just get to the point where you can do pull-ups. I only see them as a bridge for people who cant do a pull-up. Not an end game build.
>>
>>77278153
I can do 40 sec with right hand only and 35 with left.
I'm not a retard to hang for minutes using both hands
>>
>>77278188
if you can only do 30 sec with both hands then you cannot even do it with one kek

it's not fair bros...
>>
>>77278223
Never considered trying it until my grip is taxed already lol. Bet u wont post arms.
>>
>>77278224
Yeah, we're objectively a bit better at long-distance running than at climbing, for apes polls.io/sqmmh/vote
>>
>>77278110
Does fuck all
>>
>>77278311
Considered what? If your grip is so weak that you can only hang for 30 seconds than one hand is simply impossible for you
>>
Dead hangs fixed a shoulder impungement I had that was bothering me for over a year and nothing else worked. Sometimes you just need to return to monkey.
>>
>>77279299
Uhhhhh i'll take a diet coke
>>
>>77278222
we get it, nigga. you can hang from one arm.
>>
>>77278110
My arms get pins and needles after 45 seconds
>>
>>77278110
I'm 210 and can only last 30 seconds. Sometimes if I start thinking about baseball I can last a bit longer though.
>>
>>77280209
heh
>>
>>77278110
>great exercise to strengthen the rotator cuffs
lol what fucking retard made this image
>>
2 minutes a day max
>>
>>77278110
Deadhangs? More like all niggers must HANG amirite bros kek
>>
>>77280405
Yeah it doesn't strengthen the rotator cuff but it does create more space under the coraco-acromial arch or whatever so you're less likely to get impingement and tears and whatnot.
>>
>>77279108
We still have shoulders capable of fully brachiating just the same as apes though, just not the same arm proportions.
