What's your gym watch? Me, personally, it's the Casio F91W. Stopwatch + Resin strap that doesn't stink up with sweat (unlike the NATO strap meme) + no worries if you somehow slam something on it because it's cheap. Not that it would ever break.

i use casio 735 because of the vibration alarm. i have a quick minute and a half timer on it that i hit in between sets and its much easier to feel the vibration on my wrist because i have headphones in.

i wish there was a F91 with a vibration alarm. the 735 is bulky as shit and it will get caught on long sleeves
>>
>>77286840
since when did casio wrist watches become the trend? i bought one simply because i was a fan of project zomboid. didnt think people were actually into casios
>>
>>77287825
I have that one. I used it extensively during my officer's basic training. Worked good, it's warn down a lot, but still works. It's too high though. Get's caught on everything. The light/lume is strong as fuck though. Definitely got bumped/arty sim'd over this watch. Loved the vibration alarm.

Like I said though, super thick watch, so I use a F-91W.

I wanna get the DW H5600 because it tracks steps and resets at midnight. Looks like a good compromise since I don't want a garmin or an apple watch.

Negative display looks cool until you're in lowlight environments and hate yourself.
>>
>>77287931
Consider getting the GBD-200 instead. It's cheaper, and has a 2-3 year battery life. It has very similar features.

that's what the backlight is for?
>>
>>77288169
To demonstrate Casio's capabilities to engineer a precision instrument into an ordinary watch. Basically the backlight is an extremely weak source of light that emits only ten photons per second which can be used in the instrumentation in experimental setups that measure the superhuman photosensitivity of frog and squid eyes. Which, coupled with the moisture temperature atmospheric pressure anemometer and the plethora of other absolutely useless sensors that the more advanced models have make it a true laboratory instrument. on your wrist. Pretty cool, huh?
>>
>>77288166
It's actually more of a problem in brightly lit areas, especially in the sun. For low light environments you have the backlight.

Personally I roll with a Google Pixel Watch 2. It's an older model compared to what's out there today, but it works well enough for tracking my vitals and stats.

For workouts I use a g-shock chink knockoff (SKMEI).

For /out/ stuff either an f-91w or the chink g-shock.

For social events I have a Rolex oyster from the 1960s and a Tag Heuer WAF211R.

I had one with a negative background, and yeah come to think of it, it fucken sucked in bright light too. No light you got the light sure, but it doesn't stay on for a few seconds. Fucking annoying when you're managing timings in the field, carrying a gun and all your kit, and trying to check the time while talking on the radio. Speaking from experience. Especially when you're in a leadership position and sleep deprived.

A nice, clear, and normal digital display is pretty peak to me.

If you just work an office job and lift from time to time black displays are fine though.
