I'm a relatively new runner. Ran Track and XC in high school, but took an extended break of ~20 years of consistent running since then. At the moment, I'm 7 weeks into a couch to 25k program, and have hit 2 5ks so far. I'm a bit prone to shin splints, and I tend to overpronate and run heel-to-toe vs toe-to-heel or midfoot strike.Currently, I'm using Brooks Glycerin 21. I went to a shoe store the other day and these were what they recommend, as I'm somewhat quickly picking up the endurance for 5k/10ks:- Asics Superblast 3- Brooks Hyperion Max 4 (when it drops in July)- Adidas Hyperboost EdgeAre these good recommendations? I loved the heel cushioning on the Superblast, but hated all the colorways (not that that was the ultimate decider). These likely wouldn't be my dailies if I got them, but maybe more for tempo runsJust wanted some more recommendations from other runners that could point me towards the right shoe for me, whether it be these or a different shoe entirely.I do have a custom orthotic insole from when I had plantar fasciitis a few years back, if that makes any difference.

>>77287742this post feels like you are more excited to tell people that you are a runner than actually run.But thats not illegal so whatever, enjoy. From my limited experience, I found some I like a few years ago and I stick with them forever so maybe there are some new ones that are better. The ones I liked:1) Adidas Ultraboost2) Nike PegasusBoth of these have been around for a long time and are very well tested, you can find a lot of youtube reviews, but the best is always going to a store and trying them out.For reference im a heavier guy so I prefer good cushioning but not to a point where they mess with balance, so your mileage may vary.

>>77288008> feels like you are more excited to tell people that you are a runner than actually runnot sure where that's being picked up from, but okay. more or less just saying this is where i'm at in my journey, as i've read some shoes can be unnecessary or harmful to 'beginner' runners>1) Adidas Ultraboost>2) Nike PegasusUltraboost I like for just everyday sneaker, but wouldn't consider them a running sneaker imo (from my basic understanding of running shoes)pegasus i've heard good things about, but nike runs a little too narrow for me at the toes>but the best is always going to a store and trying them outI agree about going to the store, I'm just hoping to get some secondary opinions
