Anyone ever try sleepmaxxing? Like trying to accomplish zero chronic sleep debt? I'm going to try it, but I am just curious if any other autists have done this as well.
>>77288118im lucky to sleep more than 2 hours continuously. ive tried it all except the jew meds and i have those on order. i cant take insomnia anymore.
>>77288118I just go to sleep every night at a reasonable time like a normal person.I never needed instructions on how to sleep or felt the need to ask a bunch of incels on an anime pedo image board either.
>>77288129Sorry to hear that bro.
>>77288131Me neither. Funny. We should be friends.
>>77288118If you phrased your question in normal English it would be a lot easier to answer
>>77288129youre a dumb fuck.dont be fat, dont eat 4 hrs before bed, pop melatonin.thats all
>>77288131well arent you just the luckiest of niggers
>>77288129try closing your eyes
>>77288413>pop melatoninkek ameri-druggie
>>77288118Only advice I can give is to NEVER have an alarm.
>>77288463thanks! this worked for me
>>77288118But how do you keep your sleep restful though? I think what you want to do is meditation, but that just sucks. Your idea is really interesting to me as well though, maybe look into the article protective inhibition of Ray Peat: "Pavlov and his followers began applying the principle of protective inhibition to medicine, and it has been used to treat neuroses, brain injuries (even "brain death"), and various organic diseases. Pavlov observed that individual differences in nervous stabilitycould cause the therapeutic dose of a sedativeto vary several-fold. Prolmiged sleep wasfound to be a very powerful therapy, thatcould even reverse age-related changes, butdrugs such as t.he barbiturates were too toxicfor extensive use of the therapy. Sleep induc-tion by electrical brain stimulation was inves-tigated as an alternative. Subsequently,Meerson's group investigated the metabolicand biochemical factors involved in protectiveinhibition. Although Meerson's researchfocused on the heart, the factors he identifiedapply to other organs and tissues. The progres-sive commercialization of medical research, however, has submerged those integratedorganisniic approaches to therapy." - from 'The Gaba System Defenses and Tissue Renewal'How did you get to this idea though? Like, depressed people sleep alot with I would say very little success.
>>77288413>I don't have a clue or anything to offer besides the most tired advice but I've solved your problem for you and you're stupidI'm guessing you're a sub 225 bencher yes?
>>77288129let me guess you look at bright screens and blue light late at night and have never tried deep breathing
>>77288118I gave it a try, but as with most things, there are really only a few simple "rules" that make the biggest difference. I wouldn't bother overcomplicating it.
>>77288543it's like when someone complains about acne and some genius goes "have you tried washing your face?"
I have terrible sleep since I quit the herbal JewI think it's still a net positive to quit weed
>>77288129me too>>77288413I don't have caffeine after 2pm, I have my dinner before 7pm, I go to sleep at 11pm, I get up at 6am, and I wake up constantly during the night
>>77288129How much do you lift? A symptom of cns fatigue is constantly waking up in the middle of the night. Take a vacation or something bro. How many weeks straight have you gone without lifting at all over the last year?
>>77288118No caffeine after 14:00 Magnesium before bed Your sleep is now fixxed
>>77291230Stop caffeine entirely, look into your micronutrients and minerals. If you exercise a lot and drink a lot of water it exacerbates nutrient deficiencies. Also eat your nutrients with fat as they're fat soluble, not water soluble. >blackout curtains
>>77291239Caffeine is a serious drug, it can fuck up your whole shit because of withdrawals once you develop a dependency releasing cortisol since sleeping for 8hrs means you don't get to have whatever you're addicted to.
>>77291234It's probably worth keeping in an exercise for each muscle group at least once per week even when you're taking a rest to maintain muscle. Just do like 2x per week upper lower without going super intense. It doesn't take that much to maintain muscle.
>>77288118Yes. I try to speed up my rem cycle by drinking some a lot and getting insanely baked right when I wake up so I get another close to full nights sleep within 8 hours or sometimes even less.
>>77291245>maintaining muscle while not liftingRoider nonsense for a natty. You can just quit lifting and youre good, it's actually a nice refresher. But as a gymrat I often skip deloads myself. You have to at least try 0 lifting for at least 2 weeks within a year to see if you come back much stronger, meaning you've been wearing yourself out at the gym and frying your cns. What you said is literally what I actually do, but you gotta rest an entire week or 2 up to a month to see if you haven't built up counterproductive overwear to the muscle(basically damaging muscle fibers too much leading to rhabdo then muscle necrosis in the worst cases) or have a program where you manage your CNS fatigue through varying your rest days, rest weekends, rest weeks etc. Or maybe if it doesn't make much of a difference even by the end of a week let alone a powerlifting block/cycle(work extremely hard for 3-7wks before 1wk with basically 0 weight so say I bench 315x5 I'm literally doing like 135-155 for 10 and not pushing it but just doing 3 or so sets to get blood in the muscle to aid recovery) then maybe you are just not doing enough CNS taxing movements, which implies heavier weight shit more often which will instantly help gains if you were slacking.I'm also a muscle junkie afraid to lose gains, when I relapse after just 2-4 days it's more of a short session just to get 2-3 good sets of a press and usually rear delts after and that's it for half a week. I basically do as much lifting as I can before I literally start getting way weaker and sleep starts fucking up but I also do a lot of power cleans and ohp on top of a nirmal program basicslly which absolutely fries my nervous system.
>>77288543>the most tired advicewhich most people don't even follow, if you can't sleep for 2 hours at a time you're either doing something very wrong or are chronicly sick
>>77291244>Caffeine is a serious drug, it can fuck up your whole shit because of withdrawals once you develop a dependencJust try out everything and see what works for you. For me 2 cups a day was ruining my sleep so now i just drink one cup of strong coffee when i wake up. I also went 2 years without the caffeine and in times off bad stress in my life due to family and work stuff i still couldn't sleep so caffeine is not the only boogieman. Also you have to get your heart rate low before you sleep. So that means no lifting or heavy cardio close to bed time and don't eat a lot of food. Some greek yogurt with banana before bed is ok. Also magnesium glycinate sends me 30 mins later. But most important of all is to have your life all together and have something to wake up for, even if it's lifting. Just have a purpose.
>>77288991Have you tried any CBD oil with little to no THC in it? I switched from smoking ganja daily to taking this stuff before bed, and I sleep like a baby now. Feel much better too.
It's been a month that i have a mild cold that won't go away and i wake up randomly with asthma 2-3 times a week. My lifts are actually getting stronger and my appetite is fine but why won't the fucking coof and mucus go away? It also fucks with my sleep because my nose is clogged and i breathe through the mouth
>>77291245Ok back to you, 2x/wk for every body part is what a lot of people consider enough per muscle. Ok try this after you don't lift anything for 1 full week minimum. 2hrs of sleep is horrendous, you're super deep into fatigue if this is legit. No cardio especially. If you wanna speed run losing strength and beung groggy 24/7 then do legs 3x/wk and push+pull 4x while also doing sprints, liss, and training oly lifts. Cardio kills gains because you can't lift as much.Ok basically just try to flat bench 3x5 3x/wk, do rows the same. Just kinda fill out the session because the 2nd and 6th day of this lifting week are gonna be ohp/incline or some kind of shoulders+upper chest session but treat something as a main compound lift like bench or squat and do it first and preferably barbell, again assuming 3x5 plus another one or 2 lifts of 2+sets just for that muscle. Do as much extra work any of these days, but keep in mind to leave some shoulders in the tank on chest day and vice versa so that you can nail each one on the respective day. You can also switch this up from A(chest)B(shoulders)AXAB to whatever format particularly BABXBA to focus shoulders and chest. If you can run this(while actually doing arms and other neglected shit by powerlifting) while doing any sort of legs and cardio you are already at rock bottom of fatigue and basically are making 0 progress towards health.
>>77291289What you are reccomending is extremely high volume
I'm gonna be a bit out of the box and respond to the actual post here, scientifically you can't oversleep.I'm also going for sleepmaxxing, considering there are little to no side effects, but there is something to say about waking up to an alarm that gets your day going.Sweet dreams!
>>77288118Cold room, good earplugs, sleep max, open air, dark room.Go to sleep always at the same time, wake up at the same time.Go to bathroom right before bed.Works for me
