Thoughts on walking pads? Are they worth the investment?
>>77288362Only if they have a replacement policy. They break a lot, they aren't serviceable at all. It's going into a landfill if you're not going to pay appliance recycling fees.I'm not okay with that so I just go for a walk. Exercise bikes are good practically forever depending on the resistance method and how much garbage metals got mixed into the alloys of the more vital components.Getting some light cardio will slow vascular health decline and stop you from getting arthritic knees, make blood sugar more manageable but it's not going to be as pronounced as doing real cardio in terms of actually recovering "lost ground".
>>77288362If posture-related pain has ever been a problem for you when sitting at your PC, yes I think a standing desk and walking pad are obvious technological advancements you should avail yourself of
I just wanna get my steps in on rainy days and in winter
>>77288362Now they aren't, if you are going to get a cardio machine for your home get a bike machine, you can actually go hard in them and for long times with minimal damage to your knees.Treadmills are terrible because the ones you get at home are too small to actually move comfortably in them, so unless you're getting a big treadmill get a stationary bike instead.
>>77288362>ThoughtsLMAO. theres a hundred better ways to get cardio done. start with burpees
I use one to play tft get 2.5 miles a day, hasn't broke in 1.5 year but lube and adjustments. If ur not obese, it's based
If you can afford it, and have the space, then get a treadmill instead.I like hiking, I don't mind doing it in shitty weather, but sometimes I just want to walk/jog while watching whatever show I'm currently watching, and actually get my exercise done.
>>77288362You need 3. One for each leg
>>77288362Dude, just go for a walk outside.
>>77288435>start with burpeesHow do I do these for 14 hours while also working at my computer though? The big benefit of a walking pad is you can do all your desk job tasks while walking, getting all that benefit of exercise passively without even thinking about it and without spending 4 hours a day trying to get your steps in.
