If that's you, it's too late for everything.

Do we know anything about this picture beyond what we see? I cope by telling myself that he celebrated his birthday for real with a loving wife and friends, but he just stopped by his parents' home and they wanted to do a little thing with the pie for him.

what do you call this 'style' of photography? Or the technology used to get this effect? I've seen it several times before, most commonly by like the NYT when they're doing a profile of a DEI Denier and deliberately want to make them look bad.
>>
>>77294041
Look at Mom's face. While she's surely disappointed in FailSon and must take her share of the blame, she's also trying not to laugh at his pathetic manchild birthday pie.
>>
>>77294041
Yes anything athletic really if you starting from zero you have no chance.

Anything else besides that you could realistically start but you wont.
>>
I pretty much always have a night with friends for my birthday if they are around, and if not have a dinner with my parents where my mother insists on having the cake and everything. Is this abnormal?
>>
>>77294041
If you didn’t compete in athletics in high school it’s already over. You’re genetically inferior and should blame your parents. You can clearly tell in public gyms who is athletic and who isn’t. It’s quite sad to see those subhumans put in effort in the gym when it was already over to begin with.

If you're okay with being the first 1-0 or 2-0 to some wonder child who's been training since he was a spermatozoid sure go ahead be my guest wagmi just bee yourself believe achieve conceive listen to your online frens dont listen to the crabs etc

HDR, or High Dynamic Range, it was popular in the 2010's for showing as many details as possible without the colour and brightness hindering, but what you end up with is a mess

35 year old unc has a better hairline than any zoomer in this thread.
>>
depends on the sport and your age.
if it's a sport like soccer probably too late. there's millions of athletes in sports like it that have been doing camps and competing since they were 6. if it's distance running you wouldn't know until you've trained for around two years. same with combat sports if you're still below 25 y/o. i had a buddy who picked it up bjj at 26 and competed successfully until his early 30's. it literally became his life though, he trained 6 days a week and that was all he did besides a job for about seven years.
i recently saw on youtube some rando japanese dude put in world class marathon times in around a year of training, though he was a lifetime tennis player prior. if he doesn't get badly injured he will likely become a top 1% marathon runner in another year or two.

probably the only group of "people" that still like it, likely because they are a good few years behind the rest of the modern world in terms of social and creative culture - I'm guessing because of their (unfortunate for us) recent access to the internet, whereas they're thousands of years behind the rest of us mentally and physically
>>
>>77294296
I'd pay to shoot a jeet

Body language. Assuming the pie is homemade, there's nothing about him that looks happy or excited, no appreciative or thankful expression. He looks like he's there because its expected of him, not because he wants to me. Every year I look forward to my mom's lemon cake and it's the best damn lemon cake in the world and I tell her this every year. But maybe it's not a home made pie but a store bought pie. If my own mother doesn't want to put in the effort of making a real pie for me, I'd look depressed too. I love my mom's lemon cake.

I'd have to see that to believe it, but I guess I can imagine how it might be flattering to a ripped physique from a distance. But it makes faces look like a horror show and like I said, the NYT exclusively uses it when they're profiling a Bad Person.

lol, you're trying too hard to be clever. Here's what he looks like happy and excited and thankful. The reason the looksmaxxers are hated is because they will correctly identify his problem as "a few mm of bone". Put 35 year old Brad Pitt in that picture and tell him to look like a sad sack and he'd look like "Chad acting sad".

Are you fucking retarded? Do you genuinely not understand "looking happy" would simply make this guy look like a happy beta instead of a sad bet... oh. Oh, right.

Started Shaolin kung fu around the time I turned 26, started bouldering when I was about 31 and a half years old.

I'm now 36 and I'm very high level in both.

With both it's a bit difficult to measure, but the maximum grade I can climb with all the ability I have is around the 15-20th percentiles. The highest grade I could climb with all my heart and soul, projecting it, training it, between 10-15th percentiles.

With kung fu it's impossible to measure, since the school I had closed a while ago and I've been solo training it as body conditioning. I also don't train it as/for a combat sport, but for maximum physical conditioning. Based on what I regularly see in videos of amateurs doing certain forms/movements, and videos of trainers/masters demonstrating forms/movements, I'd say I'm around the 10-15th percentile in terms of body conditioning, fluidity of movement, tension. Probably 25-30th percentile in terms of flexibility, when compared to the general population I'm definitely within the 5th percentile of flexibility and agility. In terms of technique, I'm maybe 40th percentile.

If I lump together my Shaolin kung fu exercises and ability, bouldering ability, and my raw weightlifting strength on top, I would wager I'm between 6-7th percentiles in terms of overall physical performance/ability and athleticism among males living in the developed world. Hardly elite (which generally constitutes 0.1st percentile), but I'm very happy, especially considering I am still improving in all aspects.

I would guess higher if your lifts are any good. You're basically only below serious competitive athletes

Dude, this is like saying you're very high level in Yugioh or Pokemon. How do you cope knowing your average high school wrestler or boxer with 3 months experience would kick your ass?

I have noticed most guys who are into bodybuilding or powerfatters seem to be the kids who sucked at real sports back in school

If you are 30+ and never competed in any kind of sports, you never had a chance, you will never be an impressive athlete

BUT if you put some effort you can get into amateur shit and maybe even achieve something you will proud of

I'm not saying you suck or IT'S OVER but pro athletes don't start training in their 20s/30s, they are raised to be competitive champions since early childhood
