well /fit/? Are it a man?
>>
deadlifting your own body weight is easy unless you are like 150kg
>>
This but OHP
>>
The usual strength standard is 0.5x bw OHP, 1x bw bench, 1.5x bw squat, and 2x bw deadlift btw

The strength standard is 1 plate OHP, 2 plate bench, 3 plate squat, 4 plate deadlift.

>but muh bodyweight
You're not competing against a chart, you're competing against other men.

id say the absolute lowest and simplest test whether you could be considered a man is being able to do a set of 10 bodyweight dips and pullups
>>
bare minimum to be considered a man is 2plate bench and able to run a 5k 3 times a week
>>
>>77296172
Replace 2pl with 3pl or replace bench with ohp
Working out for 6months is not even close to bare minimum
>>
>>77296172
Everyone can run a 5k

I can't I could maybe run 2. 105kg 6'6 15% body fat. Smoked for most my life, never did cardio. At first I couldn't do 1km without walking in between, slightly better now after a few runs.
>>
>you are not a man
gym staff claimed something else when they were throwing me out of gym when I entered female locker room
>>
>>77296230
2pl is the bare minimum because it applies whether you are a 5'4 twink or 6ft regular guy
>>
>>77295971
Juden Peterstein is a retarded faggot, but he's not wrong about this. I really can't fathom how anyone owho isn't like class III obese couldn't deadlift at the very least their own bodyweight. Even my sister managed that and she's obese lol. For a "man" to be unable to do so...Absolutely shameful.
>>
>>77296392
whoa... never heard someone say that before. truly groundbreaking stuff.
>>
>>77296162
You do know that less than 1% of the world's human population can do 10 pull ups right? And im including people who do lift regularly.

>>
But can he name the Jew?
>>
>>77296110
Maybe if you are doing competitive powerlifting. 1/2/3/4 is for fats. It's important to be strong and not carry extra body fat, which is bad for your health. Aiming for a BMI that isn't overweight and doing 0.75x/1x/1.5x/2x for 5 clean reps is best. Being too big is its own kind of weakness and aerobic and calisthenic standards should also be a consideration. If you can't run a 10k or do 10 clean pull ups you are not fit.
>>
>>77295971

I weigh 185 at 6'3" and trap shrug 200 pounds for 16 reps. Yes, I can deadlift my own body weight.
>>
>>77295991
t. doesn't even lift

>>77296172
>The definition is whatever I personally like to do!
Can you explain WHY any of that makes you a man? I'd be much more likely to find a 600 deadlifter manlier than someone who runs every day.

>>77296392
Holy shit. Peterstein sissies... how can we come back from this?

>>77296935
Ignoring everything else retarded here, why is being able to run 10k important? If someone can run 5k is he not healthy? Can he not handle any IRL running that is likely to come up?
>>
>>77297195
Good now gain some weight and start doing real lifts
>>
>>77297249
Most people can do a 5k without training. A 10k is where your aerobic fitness starts to matter a little bit... a marathon is closer to 1/2/3/4 equivalent. A 5k is more like 1x bw dl.
>>
>>77295971
How does this clown still have any audience?
>>
>>77296560
>not even 1 real pullup
absolutely embarrassing
>>
>>77296121
A person who is more naturally challenged by a task, completeing said task, is genuinely more impressive than someone with an advantage completeing the same task. Are you retarded?
>>
Can confirm, once you can do this, you are a man. Its not all blue skies from there though. I can but I wear like to wear a diaper while I prone masturbate to take me back to the old days. Sometimes you have to escape being a man. If you can't do this yet do not feel bad, you'll miss being weak

of 2 men lifting the same weight, the lighter man is the more impressive lift.
man 1 lifting heavier weight at a heavier bodyweight is more impressive than man 2 lifting a lighter weight at a lighter bodyweight.
just how it is on this bitch of an earth
>>
>>77296782
63 is your golden years, if you're dying and you're 60s you're just as bad as the obese hogs in America
>>
>>77296387
Time is a flat circle, anon.
>>
>>77296935
Silence, twink. This board is for men
>>
>>77297249
Because people apply standards based on what they personally are good at. A skinny fellow with good cardio will say running is the true measure of fitness, a lean lifter will say it's relative to bodyweight which is important, a fat powerlifter will say raw numbers. An especially tall fellow will be disadvantaged in everything, so he will say LMAO MANLETS BTFO and refuse to elaborate.

Is this starting to make sense?
>>
>>77297444
I only partially agree with you. Insecure idiots act that way. Reasonable men won't. That said, it's a bit ironic I'm talking about reasonable men on a Nepalese foot-juice connoisseur's forum, isn't it?
>>
>>77297444
not that guy but isn't your example backwards? it's not that the skinny fellow with good cardio will say running is the true measure of fitness because he can run, but instead he put in the time and effort to run because he believes that's the true measure of fitness? and same for your other examples, except for the coping tall guy of course.

And the one to most likely live longer. The same performance from a smaller machine is generally indicative of some measure of greater efficiency & longevity.

Manlet cope
>>
>>77296935
>1/2/3/4 is for fats
retard take, and if you have to get "fat" to achieve these numbers then that's even funnier.
>cant run a 10k or do 10 clean pull ups
this is fine however. I give you a 5/10 on retardedness.
>>
>>77297500
No I think it's the opposite. People gravitate towards the things they are naturally good at, if you put effort into something and don't end up very good most people are likely to say it isn't that important anyway rather than continue to try even harder and still suck.
>>
>>77297545
No, 6'5 and up.

6'2-3 with unusually long limbs might have the same issue, 6'5-6 with unusually good proportions might still do well. But for a typical build, 6'5 is about where you reach 'problem' levels of lanklet.
>>
>>77297551

The question was, can you deadlift your own weight, the answer is yes. If a person can shrug 200 lbs, they need to be able to lift the 200 lbs off the ground in the first place.

If this offends you and causes a trigger, please create a new thread venting your impotent frustration.
>>
>>77296935

Numbers don't matter as long as you have some muscle mass, are below 15%bf and are not balding.
>>
>>77297610
How long of limbs are too long
>>
>>77298432
Don’t listen to any answer. It’ll be some angry manlet saying that being 6’2 isn’t a disadvantage
>>
>>77297249
>Can you explain WHY any of that makes you a man?
If you can't even move your frame around the local park without stopping for air you are not functional and therefore not a man
>>
>>77298457
I agree with the guy saying 6'5" or up, what Im wondering about is the limbs
>>
>>77296935
I like it. Really good standards. I remember someone saying a good basic standard is
>2xbw deadlift
>10 clean pullups
>being able to walk or hike for several hours

A 5 or 10 km running standard would be good enough, or even a 10min kettlebell standard.

>>77295975
>Implying deadlifting 150kg is hard
>>
>>77295984
That's more like it
>>77296935
What a weird cope, 1/2/3/4 is when you can start an intermediate program, it's really the minimum.
>>77298261
Until someone else can squat more than you and then you have to get that whole sentence out in one breath when you catch his eye and he pulls out one ear bud and says what and you have to say it again and he looks confused and says OK and then goes on existing as another man who's stronger than you measurably
>>
>>77298496
You don't need to run 5k three days a week to do that
"Running" is really the worst exercise, it's such a shame it became the default.
