I'm bored with just going to the gym. I don't look forward to it and it doesn't excite me the same way it did five or six years ago.

What else do you guys do for fitness to keep things fresh?

Back when I had friends that were still willing to do shit outdoors, we'd play basketball, soccer, and tennis depending on who I was with, which was always a nice break from weights. A former co-worker of mine did rock climbing, so I would occasionally go to his gym and do that as well.

Now that I'm the only one left who stays fit, I typically shoot hoops at my local park or go on occasional hikes to break up the monotony. I'm considering finding some sort of club or group to do stuff with since I do kinda miss those days of playing sports with my buddies.

Nobody wants to play sports with an awkward 30 year old former gymcel

Become a cardiobro. Mountain biking is pretty great too if you have, you know, mountains

Pick up a sport like boxing or bouldering. Or get into calisthenics and progress with the different skills.

Are you not overloading? Post them lifts

You lack confidence. Joining a beer league will help with that.

I stopped going to the gym 2 years ago, because it was grim, stinky, and big roid asshats would take all the equipment and never let anyone else use it, it felt like hassle going there after work etc. So now I have a home gym that started with a used stationary bike and a simple bench and now i have a rowing machine and a treadmill too and i get everything done that I need at home. No sweat and grease from the chud using it before me, no roid meathead taking up the weights. I have a computer monitor with a fire tv stick in it to watch whatever I want while I work out. It's perfect. I can do it any time I want. The only downside is I don't get to stare at fit girls in tight gym clothes. But back to your basic question, podcasts / youtube videos. Sometimes I get so engrossed into listening / watch to them that I forget im actually exercising. I queue up a bunch of interesting looking things, then work out and go through them.

you made the right choice. you have n units of energy per day. do you want those expended on driving to the gym, picking the most optimum training program, oh hang on guys I have to grab my white rice. I would get to work completely wiped from squats and deadlifts. not worth it. im a completely different person when im not lifting weights. you guys want to be big or be the sharpest guy in the room? choose wisely.

hill sprints + 4 mile run + intermittently train neck

let me just add to this. young anons take all of the energy/resources youve been using on weight lifting and redirect them to enhancing your smile. get invisalign, floss every other day and brush twice a day. higher dividend payoff.

Just adding sets/reps gets stale
Im convinced it requires a certain kind of autist to stick with lifting efficiently long term
>>
>>77302517
How can it get stale when you literally cannot add at some point and every time have to find a way to change something and break the plateau
How heavy are your lifts if adding weights gets stale for you lmao
