Not sure what you're trying to say, but on my third set, after I got the bar halfway off my chest, I moved it closer to my neck horizontally and pushed my elbows out to get it all the way up. When I sat up it felt like I tore something the back of my left shoulder. Gay as fuck.

I am getting back into lifting after years of no exercise and sitting at a desk 14 hours a day since covid. Had to spend a lot of time getting my shoulders stronger because things had gotten fucking grim.

Currently do 80kgs 2 x10 and 90kgs 2x6 after a few warm up sets and then a few warm down sets. Feels good. Don't do 1RM, but not far off seeing how 2plate goes.

Impressive. Are you natty? I've done 225 on the smith machine. Planet fitness only recently added barbells... Totally humiliated myself the first time I tried them. Hadn't occurred to me that I was fasted, and I'd already been working out so I was not at my best... 135, no problem. Bumped it to 185, and nearly couldn't get it up for 1. Total humiliation. Well, not total... total would have been screaming for help or something, but still embarrassing to struggle to put up 185.

I am not a 2 plate anon but October 2025 I was doing 135lbs for 5 reps and am close to 225 now. So I would say about 1 year for me personally but it depends on what you eat, genetics, prior experience, body fat percentage, etc.
