What i mean is likeTheres legit 0 point in making it ur lifeI spent years training 6 days a week thinking more is betterCut my training in half and only train 3 days a weekActually get way better results on 3 vs 6The gym is just not something you can "grind harder" at, like you can with making money.Which I guess is a good thing, dont waste ur life away thinking more = better with this stuff, because it just isnt true, if anything youre likely overdoing shit and not even recovering properly like i was in the past
>>77303076>Actually get way better results on 3 vs 6Post results aka your lift weights
>>77303079Cant be bothered. Its like a 15-30%+ flat increase strength across every single lift just from dropping the 3 additional sessions. Not to mention, all joint & tendon nagging pains completely disappeared.
>>77303081Yeah what i thought. seems like below 2/3/4/5 after "years" of lifting
>>77303087Cope. Main lifts dont even matter. I lift for aesthetics and muscle. There's endless hordes of strong yet disgusting and ugly powersharters in every weight class. I can tell you're a new fag because you think maximal strength makes you magically aesthetic and muscular lol. There are DYEL 70kg powerlifters who outlift 100kg ripped bodybuilders, it doesn't mean shit.
>>77303184It’s why they value the deadlift so much. Anyone with a functioning pair of legs and hands can deadlift 400lbs so when they go into a gym they “lift” BIG NUMBER on it. Then they come out with quotes from 80s strongmen or the fat gay guy who wrote that tome they all swear they’ve readMeanwhile they all look like absolute shit because they deadlift constantly. Some of them squat (badly), and about half of that again “bench” but it’s always some meme arched back nonsense. Spare time (they’re unemployed) is spent researching 19th century circus routines
>>77303184>I lift for aesthetics and muscleThen post your body after years of lifting and 15-30% strength boost?
>>77303193It's mostly a sport about min-maxing leverages and technique and skill to be able to move weight from A to BThis is even more so pronounced in the lower weight categories where they use every kind of possible advantage to move the weight, while being as light as possible to compete in a lower weight class.I am not even denying strength matters, because it does matter, but it doesn't matter to the point of min-maxing all the non-muscle related stats in order to get stronger.Powersharts mastered the skill of the lifts so much that they can have a completely and utterly DYEL upper body, and still bench press 315.
Back in the 90s, training 3x per week was seen as obsessive, training every day was basically unthinkable.Yet, people were a lot fitter.
>>77303277Arnold trained multiple times per day every day kek
>>77303184>There are DYEL 70kg powerlifters who outlift 100kg ripped bodybuildersOn 3 specific lifts.Let's see who preacher curls more. Oh, that doesn't count? Why?
>>77303278Not in the 90s.Fun fact: Arnold had to lose size for his movie roles because bodybuilders were not, contrary to /fit/ wisdom, the physical ideal of the 70s to 2000s.
>>77303184>I lift for aestheticsI love how people say this like its some magical and esoteric path when what it really means is:>I never try hard at the gymand>I never eatIf you take someone with the same body type who actually lifts for strength and give them a cut they will look better 100% of the time
>>77303286I am just saying. My maximal strength does not matter. I dumbbell incline press 50kg dumbbells in each hand for 8-10 reps. I OHP 60kg for upto 20 reps. I do weighted pullups with a 20kg plate strapped to me for 8-10 reps. I Squat 140kg for 15-20 reps depending on the day.I dont focus on strength other than maintaining my already decent lifts, but my decent lifts went up when i started training less days in the gym.For example on 6 days a week i was incline dumbbell benching the 42.5KG's, but going to 3 days a week got me upto the 50kg dumbbells which i maintain on and focus on getting more reps withI do understand strength is important, but MAXIMAL STRENGTH AT ANY COST is not how you get good results in the gym in terms of how you LOOK and how much muscle you gain. The problem with powersharters is they neglect EVERYTHING besides maximal strength, so they end up cheating the system and finding hacks around how to move the weight from A to B easier using techniques that dont involve actually gaining any muscle. If you cannot comprehend what im saying here, you're probably novice lifter, someone who has not been in the gym long enough to understand any of this due to a lack of personal experience in ur own training, or you're just a low IQ faggot who does the same stupid shit over and over again wondering why you look like shit.
>>77303076post bodynote that any response to this that is not body is null and void (and obviously, you will not post body because you don't lift and are just a fat, retarded waste of oxygen trying to bring people down to your level)
>>77303184
>>77303324I lift for strength, endurance and hypertrophy in a variety of rep ranges from single rep max to e.g. literally hundreds of single handed rows on the row machine and do yoga and calisithenics and biking and jogging and swimming and climbing and HIIT.Lifting for strength means a part of your training is dedicated to ever increasing numbers on small rep ranges for the classic movements. This is hard and you don't do it.You just take it easier at the gym and don't eat much. That's all "aesthetics" means.
>>77303076Post body + lifts
>>77303193>>77303202Please show us your strict 225 no arch legs on the bench full rom Can you ? What's that im hearing ? I cant ? Ok lol
>>77303324You're halfway right but being 185lbs and deadlifting 315 and being 185lbs and deadlifting 405 will 100% make you feel healthier and you will look better. Sharting around at the gym will allow you to maintain but its over for progress. I know this from years of practice doing both
>>77303772I mean arching is kind of good for protecting your shoulder no?
>>77303762Everything u said was confusing
>>77303076I train every day with few exceptions but I only do 2-3 exercises and 3-4 sets only. Takes 20-30 minutes.
>>77303184>There are DYEL 70kg powerlifters who outlift 100kg ripped bodybuilders, it doesn't mean shit. Those "ripped bodybuilders" who can't even lift weights are roiders. You build muscle on roids even if you don't work out. So those "dyels" deserve more respect because they are actually lifting instead of getting respect from retards for injecting shit that will cut their life expectancy in half just to look a certain way for no effort.
>>77303831This is beyond that, i just need to see what kind of person unironically thinks benching 315 is some kind of leverage equation that requires 0 strength
>>77303076Bri what form are you doing for your first 10 lifts that you're nailing every set so that additional work is not beneficial? You're basically making a glass of lemonade from one lemon.
>>77303076>3 full out days a weekLmao try less for most of the long term results. 1yr of once a month lifting surpasses 6mo of basicslly anything if you lift well.
>>77303836Sorry to break it to you but those dyels who outlift the bodybuilders are also roiders doing low reps to stay small. They are aren't little magical twinks
