I've trained on and off over the last decade. Never more than about 10 weeks consistently :(, life gets in the way. Best lifts (1x5) were 60kg OHP, 100kg Squat, 120kg DL, 70kg bench. Im now mid 30's and trying to squeeze in some training to stay alive longer.I came across https://stronglifts.com/stronglifts-5x5/lite/#stronglifts-5x5-lite-program-overview which looks interesting and suggests by giving up 40-60% of the gains (which is a lot), I could go in and train a lot less, get out of the gym and run back to my little ones and demanding jobs.Question is, has anyone here tried volume that low and how good was it (obviously vs not training at all!)

It's always better than nothing. Don't sweat it, just do what you can, you seem to know what's realistic at this point.https://youtu.be/XED9z5F0MrY
>>77307088I think id just do 3 sets of 8-15If time efficiency is key consider getting a pair of 'heavy kettlebells' (total weight = ~5rm ohp) and if possible a chin up bar for homework out.
>>77307088Just do Starting Strength to failure and then 5/3/1.
