Fuck every one of you bastards that ever memed this shit I just spent the last thirty six hours on my stomach, the first eight hours of which I was fucking immobilized on the living room floor.

I buy one of these second hand just to give it a try. First set goes okay, i can feel it in my ass and ham, then set two: POP. I sink to the floor and I can't even roll over for the first eight hours my lower back is in spasm so bad. Spent ten o clock at night to six the next morning there, awake. After that i could crawl on my hands and knees upstairs and into bed where I layed the next twenty four. Couldn't get up to eat. Had to force myself out on all fours to piss, twice.

Fucking gay ass retarded exercise. I don't think it has one benefit over a hip thrust, just unnecessarily dangerous. Swinging 35 fucking pounds around what a joke. Never again.

You broke your back with a 16kg kettlebell?
>>
>>77307243
Kek you thought the mentally ill polack who posts here got his deadlift and physique by doing this gay outdated ww2 era russian shit and not roids ? You deserve your demise
>>
Dan John loves kettlebells. They have that ‘what the hell’ effect
>>

I really have no clue what I did to it. I can stand up now and not quite walk but shuffle, so I don't think I'll need an xray or anything. I guess I slipped a disc or something. I've taken 20ft drops off a jump on my snowboard better than this piddly 35lb air hump shit.

I couldn't even roll over to piss in a flower pot if I tried those first eight hours. I was not that far from letting my bladder go all over the floor.

>>77307251
I got it for 20 bucks figured what the hell.
>>
it doesn't hurt my lower back but it always generates one bitch of a flare up in my chronically injured upper back discs which sucks because it's a fun exercise
>>
>>77307251
Unfathomable
>>
>>77307264
"What the hell" yeah what the hell is right

>>77307266
>it's a fun exercise
Yeah it was fun. until it was the worst day of my life lmao
>>
>>77307265
You sure you didn't round your back or used your arms while you shouldn't?
>>
>>77307284
Thought not but I guess i mustve
>>
You must be at an older age and/or immediately went hard at it 100% cold after an entire day of sitting, also with bad form, there's no way you have fucked your shit up with a kettlebel otherwise
Obviously you don't wanna touch the thing now but when you fully recover try training your form and warming up with a small weight first
>>
>>77307253
No way someone is that retarded to believe... oh who am I kidding of course people are that fucking stupid.
>>
Nobody has ever developed a nice physique using kettlebells
>>
Damn. Happy recoveries.

Kettlebells are unbelievably shit I can't believe Joe retard Rogan convinced a generation of lost men to swing around a ball of iron using barely any muscle and mostly momentum

you almost certainly didn't herniate a disc, you most likely just tweaked a muscle in your back. if you're just getting into fitness after being sedentary and/or on the older side, it is wise to ease into a bit while your body adjusts to increased activity level. you should get better in a few days, heating pads on the affected area can help.

Like Meltzer they always leave out the fact they were doing normal lifts for years and their method is for already developed bodies. Also they get paid by the company selling the equipment.
>>
For future reference, keep your spine stable through the swing. You can have some flexion or extensions, but keep it static for the duration, no flopping about or you'll fuck shit up. Make sure to engage your lats and whatnot to lock your spine in place.

How much do you deadlift? How far is your average jog? What weight kettlebell are you using? You weren't using it to replace lifting instead of supplementing like a tard were you?

Pavel recommends squatting with weight and getting comfortable with it before attempting swings

I don't know about your pop but my physiotherapist sometimes makes me swing an 8kg kb in regular and awkward positions. I have atrophied posterior chain and always get doms there from his exercises. Back doms feel nothing like the other doms I ever got. I register them as articular hip/back pain but those are clearly doms (24h delay, sometimes worse at 48h). A friend recently 'popped' her back and couldn't get up for hours and it was only muscles. Maybe it's just me, maybe not but back sensitivity seems to be different than other muscles. Anyway, since I started with the physio and learned proper form, I can finally swing my 16kg kb I bought years ago and never used because I thought I was hurting my back. I believe I have 4-6 months of constant mild doms ahead before passing the current level and getting doms again from harder exercises. He doesn't just progressive overload me, I also have awkward balance exercises to learn to fire muscles properly and try to automate that. He's awesome, I wish I went to him decades ago.
