What is the best way to lose five pounds by next week that’s not literally starving myself? I need to pass a medical exam and am five pounds "overweight". I’m not fat or anything like that, but I have to be around 175lbs or under to pass

From now until your weigh-in, cut hard on your meals (500 cals a day or none at all) and do some cardio. If you go ham on dehydrating yourself, you lose decent weight from that alone but I don't recommend doing it any later than 3 days before. If you plan on dehydration, drink only a max of 3 cups a day and do some work to sweat off your water weight. I've lost 1 pound per day of me doing 72-hour water fasts with decent cardio. Keep in mind the physical weight of the foods you're consuming. It's possible to lose the 5 pounds by losing water weight alone without resorting to a bitch diet, but do you really want to take that chance if it doesn't? It'll be tough, but if this is truly life or death for you, do what you can to pass and work hard gradually afterwards so that you may never face this problem again.
